The Frolic Room is a Hollywood staple being one of the oldest bars in the city as well as a fun dive bar. The place is the size of a hallway but always a good time. The drinks are incredibly affordable - margaritas were only $8 and they serve them in the tall glasses! This is your perfect pregame spot before your Pantages show or just an awesome night out.

I have been to the Frolic Room about 10 or 12 times, always right before a show at the Pantages. Cute little neighborhood bar (older bar, but really cool). Don't expect anything spectacular, except possibly some conversation with some great folks or your friends/loved ones. Why do I come here? Two reasons specifically:#1 - Lower Cost Drinks. You have seen the prices of drinks in this city, right? Well, the Frolic room is essentially like Buy 1, Get 1 Free. You can get two cocktails for about $10 - $12. In many places, one costs more than that.

This was my first time visiting Anchor Bar and it definitely won't be my last! I placed a reservation through the staff, who was absolutely lovely! She answered all of my questions thoroughly and made the process a breeze. When we arrived we sat by the fish tank and listened to the live band as we enjoyed our very tasty meals! The sushi is phenomenal I definitely recommend it. The whole atmosphere of the place is great :), I can't wait to come back next time I'm around the area.

This is a great place to go and just have fun. The bands that they have play they are casual and fun to listen to, and dancing is permitted. The drinks are stiff. It's very casual... But right upstairs is the best pizza in town!

Great little hidden gem that by accident I was invited. Long story short they have local bands play live and you can order pizza upstairs. Great Tiki decor! Mellow locals.

Open mic comedy and music stopped happening in December of last year, was shut down because they don't have an entertainment ABC license. I went in to perform comedy, for the 1st time, after a lot of hype and pushing, to be disappointed that it didnt exist any more. Please advertise it's no longer available and the show's promoter moved it to Santa Ana

The drinks are cheap and strong! Great dive bar that's clean, friendly, and has DELICIOUS food. The bartenders are fast and on their game. And there is always a good crowd here no matter what day/time you go. It's a great place to watch sporting events, lots of TVs and they're more than happy to accommodate your viewing.

Its always a great time at original pizza upstairs and the anchor bar down stairs . The staff are all so kind and helpful. Great local place and a wonderful experience for the people that aren't from the area . Come on down .

I'm not sure if the other reviews are fake or not because I went there on a Saturday night and there were literally 5 people hunched over the bar and that's it. The upstairs was closed. I went to ask the bartender for a drink only to be given a "what do you want?" Attitude. I ordered a drink, took a few sips and left. I gave them 2 starts instead of 1 because this place actually exists in reality.
