If loud and “edgy” 2010s millennial is your vibe, I’m sure you’ll like it. I had the wild salmon sando; it was a generous portion and the truffle oil chips were great, though the salmon itself was quite salty.

I had high hopes for Coffee Dose in Costa Mesa, but unfortunately, my experience was tainted by blatant discrimination. As an Asian customer, I felt unwelcome from the moment I walked in. The staff was noticeably less friendly toward me compared to others, barely acknowledging my presence while greeting and engaging warmly with non-Asian patrons.
When I placed my order, I was met with an attitude that seemed dismissive, and my drink took significantly longer to arrive compared to those who ordered after me. I also noticed subtle but clear differences in how my group was treated versus others in the café.
No business should tolerate or practice discrimination, and it’s disheartening to see this in a place that claims to be welcoming. I hope the management takes steps to train their staff in cultural sensitivity and inclusivity. Until then, I cannot support or recommend this establishment.

Food was good, the coffee was decent but the service has been really slow the last few times I've been there. I ordered coffee, simple latte, at the same time I ordered my food and the coffee arrived after I finished eating my breakfast. Overall it was an ok experience.
IT IS super cute, LOVE the colors and vibe, BUT it's way overpriced and the food was OK. You walk up and order and there was quote a line of "newport-esque moms" n yoga peeps, then you have to find a table. It was pretty busy and the coffee was good, but small for almost $7. I basically got bacon, eggs and toast for $15, and my son got their waffle which is gluten free and DRY. Could definitely tell it was gluten free. I think they are gearing towards gluten free for sire and healthy ush, but it was just way overpriced for me and out of the way for me too.
Kid-friendliness: It's quite cramped for how busy it was, but luckily found a table inside. There's outside tables that might be better for kids, but inside is long and skinny so not much room especially for strollers.

Please note that it is cashless which is discriminatory for those who don't find themselves with credit or debit cards. The staff was pleasant and my order was almost to my specifications. Some coffeeshops don't know how to make drinks extra hot.

Coffee is strong sour and vibe is cool hipster. In terms of flavor it's alright. I got the pumpkin spice latte of the month n it has all the cinnamon, nutmeg smell n taste. It's good if you like coffee less sweet n creamy. It's not too busy when we walk in n service very fast. Price is $7.5 which is the same as most trendy places.
