Izakaya Hachi Reviews
Super friendly staff and very attentive. Wonderful selection of Japanese small plates which are perfect for sharing while having a beer - Asahi of course.
Went with my servers’ recommendations which did not disappoint.
Horrible service! The place was packed but no management to oversee. The food was good. The bill came and we were charged for items we didn’t order… Not going back ever!
My girlfriend and I loved this restaurant! She wanted sushi for dinner and I found this place after an Open Table search.
Think Japanese Tapas. What intrigued us was the picture of their uni and kobe beef sashimi. We had to visit.

Izakaya Hachi offers a variety of Japanese dishes, including yellowtail sashimi, beef tongue, and negi toro. The menu features stew, pickled, and grilled items, with a special focus on charbroiled dishes and sushi/sashimi. The restaurant uses high-quality ingredients and does not overserve food. Customers can bring their own wine for a corkage fee. Despite being a bit loud, the restaurant provides friendly, attentive service, and the inside is clean. The food is consistently delicious, with highlights like thick cut beef tongue that is grilled to perfection, juicy and flavorful. The sashimi selection usually includes uni, toro, amaebi, salmon, hamachi, scallop, and sea bream, with a minimum order of two pieces per type. Many customers praise the freshness and careful preparation of dishes like octopus salad, which is super refreshing, and grilled beef tongue, which is a standout dish. The restaurant offers a peaceful atmosphere for a satisfying dinner, making it a great choice for those seeking authentic Japanese cuisine. However, customers have noted that some items may not be available, and it is recommended to make a reservation due to the busy setting. Overall, Izakaya Hachi is a cozy spot perfect for enjoying sake and a variety of small dishes.
