We wanted to order dessert and asked if we were able to do so inside the restaurant, we were told yes. We went to be seated, someone came up and said we will be seated you in 5 minutes, even though there were multiple servers walking around an an empty restaurant. Once we sat down we asked if we could order dessert and were told we can only sit in the restaurant AND order dessert if we were getting dinner. We got up and left. So ghetto…. You really couldn’t let us eat a slice of cake for 15 minutes it’s not like the restaurant was busy. Can’t say anything for the food but the service was zero star.
Great little spot. Food was fresh and good. Service was great as well. Sweet Dream crepes were delicious.
Service 10 Food 10 Host 10 Kitchen was on ? the food was delicious and the staff did a great job going over the menu and recording what they thought we would enjoy. The waiter got everything out in a timely fashion and we loved every bite. The place felt clean and the surrounding decor was very welcoming, please take a moment and go enjoy this little hidden treasure.
Bart the hostess was extremely incompetent at his job. Our table was open for 45 minutes before he was able to figure out it was ready for us to sit there. Hour wait. Horrible service.
Great restaurant located in the South Coast Plaza. Delicious food and great service. The pastry section is amazingly delicious.
Not a place and staff with the holiday spirit. We were at the front of the line, ready to place an order. The staff ignored us, skipped us, and wanted to tend to someone behind us. When we tried to explain to her, she accused us of giving her attitude. No wonder the tip jar is not even half full.
Just left the bakery after ordering half a dozen chocolate and ham and cheese croissants. I don't get to South Coast very often, so I was really looking forward to surprising my family with the chocolate croissants. It takes about 20 minutes to get home. So once I arrive I announce that I have both types of croissants. Everyone is excited and runs to the kitchen. Well, we got the ham and cheese croissants but no chocolate. They are all plain croissants. Such disappointment. I could have gone to Costco for fresh plain croissants. I am so bummed. Everyone was nice at the bakery and I just don't have the time to drive all the way back to get the correct order. Moral of the story - don't place big orders and assume they are correct.
After picking out a pumpkin from Tanaka Farm, we had lunch at South Coast Plaza’s Yellow Vase Restaurant. My granddaughter chose the Caesar’s Salad, while I chose the Chinese Chicken Salad. Service was friendly and efficient.
Whenever my wife drags me to Aouth Coast Plaza I always stop in the Yellow Vase to grab a bite to eat. Love their steak frites and French onion soup.
good pasta, delicious breakfast and even better pastries. love going here but some of the staff is a little rude. Alma is the best and has great customer service. She is very sweet and always remembers me when im on a tight lunch! Thanks Alma!

I don’t like giving bad reviews, but there have been too many times that I arrive and there’s no one at the counter for minutes. The ladies are in the back talking and talking. I’ve had to yell out for service.Once they come out they don’t greet, they always seem to be irritated, and when I ask politely for my danish to be warmed up they don’t do it. I live in the area and have enjoyed walking and eating over at this place at least twice a week. Unfortunately I will have to look for a new place.?
I had the salmon crepes and some lemon aid. Both were fresh and tasted good. The service and setting was good too.Plus I thought the prices are good value considering the location. ????
Although it’s a friendly staff, you definitely feel the effects of being short staffed nowadays. I had to wait almost 10 minutes and the place was empty. The food came quickly but the dish lacked flavor. Chicken fettuccine was very creamy but it lacked any taste. I hope I just happened to be there on an off day.
Almond latte was horrible, too much milk and hardly any coffee. Very artificial taste. Millefeuille was ok.
Food was good. When we got up to the counter to take some pastry to go the lights above were heavily coated with dust and flies. Gross. I told the cashier and The manager and they gave me a dirty look instead of doing anything or saying sorry.
