The staff was attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. They provided a complimentary chips appetizer and also have a lunch special and daily specials that are a great deal

Everything we ate was wonderful. Service was quick and the food was great!
The salsa was yummm - flavorful, but not spicy - the kids enjoyed it too. Onion rings were fresh and crispy. The tacos with grilled veggies and guac were delicious. The kids liked the cheese quesadilla with rice and beans.

Chips were super stale and just for asking for an extra salsa this bald guy said it's going to be $1 extra seriously! The table I sat at was sticky, the bathroom was even grosser. Every Mexican place I have ever been to they give two salsas! Not welcoming and stingy I won't go back. I spent $20 on one small burrito btw. The last time I went in which was yesterday the server was kind and gave salsa at the table while I waited for my order to go which was nice but now they lost a customer.

Cafe Salsa is THE BEST. The inside is cute and cozy, and the tvs always have sports to watch. The outdoor seating is also great and comfortable.
The quesa birria tacos are a must try! The quesabirria tacos are $6 ea. and ya can’t beat that price. For the quality they could easily charge more but I love supporting this place so I’m glad they keep their prices affordable. Everyone should grab some food from this place as often as possible. You won’t be disappointed!
We ordered our food to go. The service was good and the food was yummy.
We either hit this place on an off day (happens to all restaurants), or they have lost their mojo. The food was as mediocre as it gets, and there was zero love in the dishes. And as far as I can tell, they simply buy mostly packaged, pre-prepared ingredients - like that guacamole that is mostly whipped oil, and “grilled” chicken that is spray on grill marks - and assemble the dishes. Not much actual cooking going on. Even the beans were clearly canned beans, and I was so looking forward to some great, home cooked refried beans. Really there is little excuse for bad Mexican food in California; in North Dakota I’d understand, but not here.
We LOVE this place! Great food, great atmosphere, nice people, and reasonable priced.

Ordered delivery of chicken pozole 2nd time they skimped on the chicken. Basically got hominy soup
Stopped in after a tour of Sonoma State College.
I ordered the chille verde, my mide ordered combo plate tamal and chile relleno. My sons ordered a burrito each.
Also I had a refreshing michelada

I have eaten here numerous times. In the past the service was excellent and the food well prepared. NOT this time! No one came to wait on me for almost a half hour. She brought no chips nor salsa. The black beans were not cooked . . . almost hard. The two chile rellenos were not well cooked. The quacamole was would barely have filled a 1 tablespoon measuring spoon. I was sorely disappointed. AND will probably not return for another meal.
