Clearman's North Woods Inn of Covina

Potato skins from here are way better than my childhood memory of Round Tables. Portions are sharing sized so you can share, have an app AND dessert.

Food was great along with great service

Im really surprised on the reviews this place had and was expecting more because of it I guess. The food was okay -it needed seasoning. You get a lot of it almost too much. My steak was cooked perfectly but no flavor. The meal came with a coleslaw, rice pilaf, unlimited cheese bread, baked potato and the steak. There’s no additional vegetable on the menu.they give peanuts while you wait and at your table which people throw on the floor so it’s covered in shells everywhere! Covered the entire restaurant. I’m not sure why they don’t provide a bowl for the shells? Anyway I would not come back. The inside was very dark with a cabin vibe.

We've been coming to North Woods Inn for years, and it's always been one of our favorite places. The atmosphere is unique and nostalgic, the retro lodge feel makes dinner feel like an experience, and we always enjoy the cocktails, the famous salad, and the cheese bread.

The steaks have been a little hit or miss over the years, but today was especially disappointing. I found a hair in my rice, which completely ruined that part of my meal.

What concerned me even more, though, was the condition of the restrooms. They were genuinely dirty, with messes on the walls and toilet seats. A restaurant's restroom reflects the overall cleanliness of the establishment, and when the bathrooms are in that condition, it's hard not to wonder about everything else.
Spending over $200 for dinner for two, I expect exceptional cleanliness and quality control. Guests shouldn't have to worry about finding a hair in their food or encountering restrooms in that condition.
Not to mention we were 5 minutes late for our reservation and they gave our table away. Generally restaurants give at least a 10-15 minute grace period.

It's a shame because I truly enjoy North Woods Inn and want to keep coming back. The atmosphere is wonderful, and it's a place we've recommended to others. Please, have someone check and clean the restrooms more frequently throughout the day and pay closer attention to quality control in the kitchen. I genuinely hope these issues are addressed because I'd love to continue dining here.

Definitely a dark bar/diner experience. There are some good food items, but the all tasted a bit bland. The salad was great, but the toast wasn't quite toasted all the way. I enjoyed the quick refills, the tasty cabbage and lettuce salad, and the throwing of peanut shells on the floor is always an interesting experience. I've been here a few times and somewhat know what to expect. I just wish there was a little more seasoning added to the food.

Steak was lacking seasoning.

Great old school atmosphere. Dim lights and peanut shells on the floor. Delicious food and plentiful portions. Excellent service from the hostess to the wait staff. Definitely recommend!

We have been going to Northwoods Inn for 30 years. Steaks are always cooked to perfection, very flavorful. Nice seafood options. Huge baked potatoes. Red cabbage salad and rice comes with every order. All the roasted peanuts you can eat. The chessy garlic bread is my favorite.

Every time I eat at North Woods, I have a great experience. Sat at the bar to have a drink and ended up ordering dinner there as well. Alissa or Alyssa was the bartender and she was great and friendly. Made some new friends as well. I'll be back soon.

Always loved Northwoods Inn, Covina but today at around 3pm was a game changer. Our appetizer, fried zucchini was very low quality most likely from the freezer, the vegetables were mushy and the grilled chicken was bland. Probably won't be back.
