This is usually my go to location and I honestly love the food here. I came here tonight 20 mins before closing and you could see the people inside running to lock the doors and hide to act like no one was inside. Kinda disappointed because online it says they close at 10. I even tried to give a courtesy call to put my order in a head of time, but unfortunately no one answers the phone there either. Most likely not coming back, I’ve been giving this location business for 15 years and it sucks they did that. If they close the kitchen early, especially in a Saturday night they should state that on their door or on google.

I love me some Pepe's! But this location isn't it. I prefer the one in Alhambra, the best location. But I've been here many times over the years. The last time at this location was over a year ago. But today, the restaurant is dirty, and the food is blah. I ate half, and I was so hungry after a long drive, so I was looking forward to my bean and cheese burrito with beef taquitos on the side with guacamole and their green salsa. But everything tasted off, everything 😩 The taquitos were crunchy, but the meat inside was weird, weird look and taste. The beans were ok but needed more flavor. The salsa watered down, and just not it. The staff was nice but wouldn't come back until they made some improvements.

Been going to Pepe's for upteen years. Today's experience made me realize how badd they've let it go as far as the inside. I went from table to table looking for a clean one. The feel of grudge on the tables leads me to believe they are wiping down but not cleaning much less disinfecting. Most of the seats are taped up. The stereo kept going in n out so they put it so loud it was uncomfortable to enjoy my Tacos. Basically inside and out are looking pretty gettho these days. Food is still good but really Management needs to get in there and see how badd it looks...and whoever thought those paper mache pinatas and those hanging placemats are attractive... their not. Get rid of those dust collectors
