Pupusas are really good!
I love coming here and will keep coming back. They used to be on arrow and hollenbeck.

Drawback is wait time is long. However I dont think they can do anything about this because the orders are made on the spot so the food is fresh.

Price. I dont think its pricey. Businesses need to pay rent, employees etc.

I payed $30 or so for 2 but then again mc donalds meals are also now pricey so I'd rather go here than some fast food junk.

I've been here a few times, you can't never go wrong with Salvi food. Starting with their food (Pupusas) they are always fresh and made to order so the wait is a little long if you are going to dine in.

On this particular visit we decided to dine in and ordered at the restaurant we new it was going to be a wait since Salvi food is made to order. We ordered yuca frita con chicharron (Fried yucca with fried pork) and 2 tacos de Carne asada and 2 drinks. About 15 mins in and no drinks so I had to get up and remind the server if we could get our drinks. Waited for about another 10 more minutes server comes out and says they didn't have the yuca ready so it would take another 20 mins, but we do have the chicharron ready so i was ok just bring the chicharron then.

I asked to have what I had ordered changed to pupusas instead at this point we were starving and a little frustrated. So then about another 10-15 minutes later our ordered finally comes out. They brought out something we had not ordered...ok instead of the 2 tacos de asada they brought out a Carne asada plate, we looked at each other like FML we didn't say anything to the server at this point we're beyond starvation mannn...so then after we finished our food server comes out and says we have the yuca ready.

I was like ahh hell naw the audacity this guy lol! I mean they could have came back and said here's your free yuca or a discount on us for your 1hr wait and our screw up for bringing wrong food out lol! But no. In the end the plate they brought out the Carne asada was pretty good i know it looks dry in the pictures but it was tender and juicy tasty. The rice was also good too and beans yummy as well.

The fried pork (chicharron) without the yuca was on point too. The pupusas for me are ok I've had better at other places. They were freshly made just a little bland for me. The curtido was a big let down though, it was super bland no flavor basically just cabbage with no flavor, I think they need to perfect making the curtido plain for me.

The platanos fritos (Fried plantains) were pretty good too a little on the hard side but good. As for service young dude was professional and polite I'm sure he'll get it down and yes we still left a tip for him.

The restaurant was pretty clean and the Salvi wall decor is nice to look at. Overall it's a good Salvi place to hit up.

This place has delicious pupusas. I always order to go. I love that I can call ahead to place my order. The prices are really good I believe the pupusas are $3.75 each. And I love that they are not stingy with the salsa and curtido because it's very delicious! 😋

I came here since I was craving some pupusas, $3.75 each. I bought their chicharron (fried pork) and rueveltas which are filled with pork, beans and cheese with a side of salsa and curtido (pickled cabbage). I also got their Carne guisada ($19.99) which comes with sides of rice, beans, and salad. They also have a drink called ensalada ($7.50) which I don't see much; it's basically a fruit salad drink with chopped bits of apple and pineapple.

Their salsa was watery, more than other places I've tried. Their pupusas were hot and fresh and had a good amount of filling inside. The carne guisada was tender with large chunks of beef, not alot of sauce. The salad was crispy, the beans were fresh, and the rice was hot and fluffy.

The guy who took my order was nice, the wait time was a bit long. They have a good amount of tables and a parking lot outside.

A small restaurant with ample free parking. They were friendly but it did take a long time. And when I received my pupils to go, the bag felt super light. I thought that they had not given me the complete pupusas and only the condiments and that I opened the boxes in the parking lot and saw how small those pupusas were. Definitely the smallest ones I've had at that price. So small that they fit in the smallest container. How sad! And so let's continue looking for the best pupusa restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley.
