Went to dinner with family last night and this place has gone way down hill, might be because they are closing for good on February 17th of this year. I ordered Marsala chicken and the sauce on the chicken was white gravy no taste and my fries were cold and stale, also they are only taking cash claimed their computers were down.

This is not a review but a notice that this The Nantucket will be closing in February this year, end of an Era, get your grub while it lasts...

Good things: stunning view of bridge. Fresh food. Waterfront dining with plenty of picnic tables outside. Great complimentary garlicky bread Not so good things: We only had two shared appetizers. Had to repeatedly ask for our check, even though it was a rather slow night. Overall: B-

Will definitely be back to this little Gem. A diamond in the rough for sure. Erin is AMAZING!!! Very helpful and friendly. The view is spectacular. Of course we had to take pics with the view of the bridge directly behind us. I can imagine in the summer sitting out by the water must be pretty awesome. Now getting to the most important part....The food!!! Sooooo Good!!!! Was pleasantly surprised by the portions. You definitely get what you pay for. Let me not forget to mention the prices are excellent for seafood. For $25 including tax and tip I got a bowl of clam chowder, two huge crab cakes. Coleslaw, veggies, baked potato and she even brought us a big basket of garlic bread for the table. My friends ordered fish and chips and one ordered calamari for the same price that did not disappoint. Try it out, I believe you will love just as much as we did!

It's in such a great location yet the whole experience is off. Wait staff doesn't seem like they want to be there. Food is good but this place needs an overhaul

Gorgeous place, with a friendly staff. Will be coming back for the clam chowder. Its an old shack right on the water, thats where its charm comes from. The food was normal but so were the prices, i saw a ton of regulars that obviously knew what to order. The drive down the hill to the shore looked like somthing out of a movie. If you are in the area and feel like seafood this place is worth a stop for the experience.

Love the view from here! You can see the bridge and the water! We had Nantucket pasta with shrimp, scallops, muscles and clams. Pasta jambalaya, fish and chips and crab louis. They were all very large portions and very good. We will be back!

We were waiting almost more than 30 min for outside table. There was just 1 table full other 4 tables are empty. And the server said we have to wait more and she stop talking with us and left. After 40 min she didn't interested with us and we left.

The Nantucket is a really cute, off the beaten path seafood restaurant. On the more casual side, and we sat outside on a picnic style table with a picnic style tablecloth. I prefer sitting outside there because there's a lovely view of the bay and the Carquinez bridge. I was, however, not as impressed with the food today as I had been in the past. I got Ray's seafood pasta, which was alright and had a great amount of seafood, but in my opinion the sauce wasn't thick enough because it wasn't really sticking to the pasta. My mom felt the same way about her scallops and prawns dish. The bread was also not heated today because apparently the machine was broken, but that's not the end of the world. I am however a little concerned about the food safety - my little brother got sick afterwards, and we think it might be the grease they used for the fries, he said they were a little soggy which is never a food sign to me...if the quality of food at this restaurant was leveled up a notch it could be 5 stars since the ambiance is so charming. It really does have a lot of potential!

Wait how out for uneven pavement driving into the parking lot from the main road. There's no designated lines for parking stalls so find a space and park. There's a paved walkway through the railroad tracks, still need to watch your footing though. We had reservations and were seated outside, view is great can't beat that or the sunset we got there at 6:20 and were seated promptly. We ordered a spray of appetizers: Calamari: 1 Star Fried Zucchini: 1 Star Cheese Bread: 4 Stars (who doesn't love garlic bread with melted cheese and ranch) I ordered a Pií±a Colada and there was a strand of hair in it, I picked it out and still drank it. It's very strong but whatever it's alcohol and the drink was gross so I wasn't going to bother to return it and get another nasty one. Main Entree: Rays Seafood Pasta.. it's very watery sauce, pasta was cooked well, my seafood all of it was way over cooked. No one likes rubbery scallops or mush fish and rock shrimp that's the size of my baby scallop and rubber as well. I held my complaints to myself I didn't want to ruin dinner for everyone. My husband ordered the sauté scallops and rock shrimp very small serving. My sister in law ordered the lemon pepper tilapia and hers was served with a strand of hair. Server of course apologized and remade it. My mother in-law ordered the captains platter, looked really yummy Sister in-law ordered the crab Louie and hers looked bomb!! Kids ordered salmon fettuccini ZERO flavor. Had to take it home and jazz it up on the stove. Our sever was great and attentive. My lack of stars is for the food, maybe I should've stuck to fish and chips or the captains platter something fried that i can drench in Malt Vinegar (I legit love vinegar) Or come for lunch and try the crab sandwich bc the pics on yelp look good! Maybe stick with the appetizers and beer. Cheers!

Such a hidden place but i find myself visiting to get together with friends ofen. This place has been here a long time and it is old but it fits the area and scene! The view of the water and carquinez bridge is beautiful at night! The food has never disappointed! My favorite is the crab shrimp salad. The toasted garlic bread is delicious. The drinks run small for the price but reasonabley made. Service is a little slow but very friendly! Parking is right over the railroad tracks so dont be surprised of the all dirt gravel lot!

I really liked this place. Great service, the food took a bit longer but it was worth, the prices are fsir. The view is awesome. The only bad thing is the parking lot, it has many holes and it's not pavemented. So it you have a lowered car, think about it twice

A hidden gem. Food is amazing, great service, awesome location. I finally found jambalaya, had been looking for it. I'm definitely going back to try more dishes from their menu. Left this place with a very happy tummy, will have to try their second version of jambalaya on rice. Recommend a visit to this place for sure.

This is an old family seafood restaurant favorite of ours. We go there every other month, great food, reasonable seafood prices, and they pour a stiff drink. Recommend to call in for reservations to get a good table, but generally busy so expect to wait as a walk in. Awesome view of the Carquinez bridge and waterfront. Setback, the parking is smaller than previous years, so when busy parking sucks, and they are under staff so service suffers when they are busy. But worth trying an old Bay Area rustic restaurant of the past.

This is an older style restaurant and a bit rough entrance with railroad tracks crossing to walk across with good food and great views. We tried three dishes and they were all very good. The server was very attentive and we had a great time.
