This has been our go-to Jamaican restaurant as Jamaicans for a while now. I've never had a bad meal here. The portions are large and filling. The food is well seasoned.Hands down their Healing Greens aka kale is the best I've ever had anywhere. Most places fry their plantain. They bake theirs. Love that they're so committed to making healthier versions of our traditional foods. My sister ordered the curry tofu. Halfway through she wanted to order another one. It was that good. The star of the show was my mom's red snapper meal. I have never seen a plated fish that large in my whole life. It couldn't even fit on the plate. A 'generous portion ' would be an understatement. Their drinks are home-made and very delicious too.Word on the street is that they'll be closing the doors for good in a few weeks. I was so sad to hear this. Get your Jamaican food fix while you can.

Exquisite food and service! I'm heartbroken they're closing. Are there any investors to save this outstanding establishment?!

If you’re looking for food that’s flavorful and delicious, this is the place to go! I tried the jerk chicken and shrimp pasta which was incredible! There was several different depths to the flavor on this dish and the service was fantastic!

The chef Garry fixed my food I had curry goat first time I ever had boneless goat it was very flavorful. The service was ok, the waitress never checked on me but once because my drink was off and she made a new one.

I ordered a sampler to go. I didn't receive the correct items ( got onion rings instead of fried zucchini ) and there was hardly anything but the onion rings I didn't order and plantains that weren't cooked.

It was suggested by family. Dropped my bags at the hotel and walked over. You’re transported to a local restaurant roadside in Jamaica. Bright colored walls and artwork. Cute bar decorated with raffia. I was so hungry, we ordered a lot. Our server was very patient and helped us with ordering.Rice and beans were vegetarian nice portion and tasty. Jerk tenders taste more like a light bbq sauce. Large sautéed vegetables. My favorite were the fried shrimp. Well seasoned and golden brown. 3 large crab cakes golden brown. Food is cooked to order.Friendly StaffStreet parkingIndoor outdoor seatingGrade A

Empty for a Friday at 6pm and no entertainment but if more people came out besides just picking up a called in order it would be nice. Nice area but if they would have given my 24 cent change back I would have given them a real tip even though the food taste like it was seasoned with just salt and pepper. I have jamaican, black and belizean blood in me and it didn't taste like what I'm used to but maybe it was just the wrong friday

Enjoyed a night in Culver City at this lovely and lively restaurant, started with a divine hibiscus rum and a veggie patty that was yummy. Ordered the jerk tofu and it was better than I imagined. Will definitely be back to try more dishes.
Vegetarian options: Tofu can be arranged in curry or jerk. Curry vegetable plate available, veggie patty as well as Derricks healing greens, sauteed okra, pasta with tofu.

Do not miss out on Janga, this is one of the BEST spots on the West side. The staff is amazing and kind, the food is fresh and delicious, and the drinks are fantastic. It's hard to walk by and not stop in for at least SOMETHING (a hand pie and a drink or food to-go!)I highly recommend the Hibiscus Rum, jerk chix + shrimp combo, any of the meat pies, and the fish bites.
