Wish I could come here. Been trying to make a reservation for four years for my birthday but even when they are open they won't take my reservation. I've called I've emailed. I don't understand who I have to sleep with to get in this

Vespertine defies categorization as a mere restaurant. While it does offer food, it encompasses a realm beyond traditional dining. Vespertine will challenge your preconceived notions of what a restaurant should entail, leaving you questioning everything you thought you knew.

Without a doubt, the most innovative, captivating, and delectable feast I will ever savor. It transcends mere dining; it becomes an immersive experience, a meditative endeavor, and a voyage to an exotic and unfathomable realm. A visit to Vespertine is more than just a meal; it is an extraordinary event.

This avant-garde restaurant offers a multi-sensory dining experience that's unlike anything else in LA. The menu features innovative, thought-provoking dishes that are as visually stunning as they are delicious.

I'm not used to dining at fine restaurants, but my experience at Vespertine was truly exceptional. The small, beautifully presented courses with accompanying wine pairings were a series of unforgettable taste experiences. Before my taste buds had a chance to become accustomed to one course, the next flavorful dish was presented. The 12-course meal was a true masterpiece of culinary art and left me completely satisfied. I have a new appreciation for what true culinary art is thanks to Vespertine.

With Coronavirus - 19 in full force. We were lucky to experience Vespertine’s wonderful food and passionate staff! The current menu is a dedication to Chef’s Mom. Very flavorful Cuban Cuisine. It was a delight for our taste buds!We drove up and was meet with a staff member. She informed us when our food will be ready. We walked over and enjoyed their garden. And then they carefully placed the bags in our vehicle. When we returned home. The food was thoughtfully packaged. And an instructional note with QR code that guides us to an amazing story and menu. There is even food for breakfast. Which I love! The dining experience continues into the next day.I hope to be fortunate to experience Vespertine in the near future. The near future is here...Happy Thanksgiving 2021!Originally Vespertine minimum number of dinner for was four. I thought about calling and see if they could have dinner for two. Lucky for us I received an email including dinner for two. Actual the sides were for two, the turkey, and pie were for four folks. The dinner was awesome. Perhaps the best Thanksgiving ever! The food was well prepared and perfectly instructed to prepare at home. Picking up the order was performed by their very professional staff...

Had so many exceptional meals from Vespertine during the pandemic and cannot wait to visit in person once they reopen. Everything was exquisitely and beautifully prepared and presented, attention to detail was impressive, and dishes were nothing short of delicious. The chefs have a wide range and are exceptionally talented.

Loooooove this place. Like a 5 Diamond Spa experience for your palate. Patiently waiting for in-house dining to reopen so I can take my parents here.

This review is for the Vespertine take-out: Baja. When do you get to do take-out from a Michelin restaurant? Rarely. Had to do it. Pickup was smooth and streamlined, they are a well-oiled machine. First off, I spent 30 minutes just unpacking and organizing everything. It was clear that this was not going to be a walk in the park. Despite being incredibly well-packed, and labeled with clear instructions, I couldn't help but feel stressed about the whole thing. When you take away the experience of the evening with the ambiance and just focus on the food, it loses a bit of its luster. Was the food good? Yes. Was it more than we needed to eat? Absolutely. We ate leftovers for days thereafter (if you're thinking of doing the addons because you don't think it will be enough food, think again...). Will I try again with the next theme? Yep. It was a unique experience for take out.

Since the start of the pandemic, I have picked up meals at Vespertine 27 times. Every meal has been a memorable experience- in the best possible way. The staff is courteous and efficient, the food perfectly packaged with excellent instructions on reheating or cooking the food at home. And we also find the portions very generous. Sign up for the emails so you will be notified when they have a new offering. And be sure to check out the wine and cocktails offered to accompany the meal.

This restaurant defines the worst service, dining experience, personal interaction and business acumen I personally have ever experienced. Even awarding this establishment one star doesn't do justice to my experience. I cannot recommend highly enough that you avoid this business at all costs.

Ever since the COVID pandemic began in March 2020 the Vespertine Take Out program has been the highest echelon of take out we have ever had. We have had it now approximately 7 times and every time it has felt like a community service to take home meals. The pricing is modest, even low, for what is provided as a take home experience. The presentation is nothing short of impressive. The staff are always very polite and gentle. The reservations for each program seem to be only a couple days far in advance (for those that like to plan ahead) and they don't sell out fast which is very nice. The program has always changed and the creativity of the art shines with soul at every turn. My take out experience with vespertine has completely changed my opinion of vespertine. Highly recommend the take out program. Get it while it's still happening.

We recently ordered last week's vegetarian take-home experience from Vespertine. It was truly amazing. the positive vibes began with an email inquiry about a certain ingredient which was answered quickly even though the restaurant was not open on that day. Thank you Megan. When we picked up the meal it was beautifully boxed and contained a sheet with a description of each dish and detail reheating instructions. the food was inventive and unique which has always been a forte of Chef Kahn. We are not big eaters and had no difficulty in getting two complete meals out of what was billed as servings for two. We do not eat meat and a vegetarian experience like this was truly delightful. Sort of wish they would do a vege or pescetarian meal more often. It was a very good value for the quantity and quality of the food and the expert take out service and "presentation." Kudos to the chef and the entire Vespertine team.

This one is long overdue: I'm not sure we could have gotten through the pandemic without the Vespertine takeout dinners. We did not miss one. We spent a lot of time looking to create special nights while essentially in lock down and tried take out from all of the best restaurants in Los Angeles that we could find. While many of those others were good, some were disappointing. Which is understandable, for high level chefs who are used to cooking ala minute to suddenly shift to food that is going to travel, sit, wait, get cold or need to be reheated by a diner is a very difficult thing to do. So the credit to Chef Kahn and his staff for not just diving head first into this new way of serving food, but refining it each and every time can't be understated. They got better. Each and every menu, month after month. I'm sure there were soooo many dishes they wish they were preparing instead, but they knew they had to adjust. And I can say (as we continued to explore other high-end takeout) no one did it better than Vespertine. I could go on and on, but my simple two thoughts are: 1.) Thank you Vespertine 2.) I can't wait to see you in person

For my birthday, my partner surprised me with a to-go tasting menu meal from Vespertine. We've been wanting to try this place so it was a pleasant surprise! I had a couple of favorite dishes, but overall felt like the menu progression (this was around Xmas 2020) was not well thought out. It felt pretty heavy pretty early on (instead of a gradual build up towards the meat course), and often lacked some acidity to balance the dishes out. I still enjoyed the experience and had fun trying to follow the to-go and plating instructions. My partner also added the dessert course, which allowed us to basically "paint"/construct the dish ourselves. This was very fun but reminded me of my lack of artistic talent. As this was around Christmas, a lot of the flavors revolved around peppermint and gingerbread, which are not flavors I personally enjoy but can appreciate. Overall, I'd like to come back and try a different menu. Perhaps it's improved.
