Went to Chicha San Chen for the first time and was not disappointed. We also got to do a tea tasting with Lucas. He is very knowledgeable on the types of tea they serve and history behind the company and making of the tea and overall gave us a great tea tasting experience!

Tried more than 3 times but still unable to find any tea product that really hit me. can't taste the tea at all. 4/5 for drinks but this place is just too overpriced so -1

Was visiting and saw this place was nearby. We love the Atlanta location so we knew the tea would be good. Made it in time for the 1230 tea tasting. Vy-Na was a great host. Very knowledgeable and friendly!

I have mixed feelings about Chicha San Chen. I have heard a lot of hype around the original location getting culinary awards and all that. So, I had to give it a try.

And yeah, the brown sugar milk tea was definitely delicious. Was it $13 delicious? I’m not sure. That’s basically double the cost of most other tea shops in the bay.

My other complaint is how inflexible their ordering is. Most drinks had no topping options. Something I like about most tea shops is how much customization they tend to offer. That’s not really the case here.

Overall, it was quite good. I just found it to be limiting in their offerings, and a bit overly expensive.

😍By far our favorite milk tea place so far - only if you get their taro milk (green or black) tea with taro paste and taro ball though.

We’ve tried their regular brown sugar drink (it was meh), their boba (was decent/ good), their grape series (only the sparkling grape one was good), and the osmanthus oolong milk tea (wasn’t very good). Like there’s better places out there for a similar drink. They do have unique seasonal flavors that you should try (grape, peach, taro, etc) but most of them just wasn’t my cup of tea 😉 my husband thought the osmanthus one was good but I think there’s better drinks out there.

Pro tip: order on Snackpass and save up on points to redeem for a discount or free drink. You can also send a free point to your friends.

It’s hard for me to finish a drink by myself so if I can drink one by myself it’s a good drink 😋 for reference, we’ve been to at least 50+ different boba stores between the US, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Try their taro drinks, you won’t regret it 👍🏻

Had a surprising Oolong tea tasting session here and learned a lot about their tea leaves and store history. I had the heavy roasted Oolong but tea was actually sweet and not as smoky as its leaves smelled like. Definitely a worthy experience to have. It could be better if there were chairs and less surrounding noise.

Was lucky enough to get a walk in reservation with some friends to try the tea tasting experience of the lishan oolong tea! Super cool experience and Lucas had the history and information down like a pro. This was my first experience with tea tasting and it's pretty awesome that the store provides this opportunity for free :)

When I bought boba today, I met Nic, who is a very professional tea sommelier. He patiently explained and introduced different kinds of tea with great attention to detail, which gave me a deeper understanding of tea. I really enjoyed the tea he introduced today. it was truly an amazing experience.

Thank you for the awesome tea tasting. Nic did a great job at explaining the differences between the tea leaves & how carefully they are harvested.
