Different than many Chinese restaurants, this one is clean. It’s also reasonably priced. There are fresh oranges served after dinner.

This is a review for the fake san tung chicken wings. Do not believe anyone saying these are the real deal as they are not. These wings may look and crunch the same but its much sweeter, sauce is thinner and the chicken doesn't taste fresh. There was almost a stench to the chicken so we only ate a few and tossed the rest. If you come here, come for the lunch special. Looking around the room most of the people there did not even order those wings so it's really strange. All these people are talking about it on yelp.

We are big fans of Home Eat. Takeout here is consistently good as they have their own deli area of take away dishes but you can also dine in. When we dined there, we got the lamb hot pot which was nice to share. The highlights are the fried chicken wings which are so tasty. We haven't had any bad dishes here and they usually have affordable specials per month. They also give some freebie dessert sesame balls which was a nice touch. A solid Chinese place if you're looking for consistently fair priced & good food.

Not bad for Chinese food. When I went though, the service was SOOOO slow, probably took an hour just to get the food. The food was at least good though, and got some San Cha Milk Tea right after.

Very reasonable prices, spice-d tasty food, friendly staff This is a casual, low key place that serves tasty food for very reasonable prices (prices I can't see anywhere else in the Bay). It's a charming gem. We got the fried pork chops, pork and shrimp dumplings, green been and eggplant, and fried chicken wings. We especially liked the fried pork chops, eggplant, and chicken wings. Everything we got was 10/10. Great portions, well seasoned food. Will come back to try the other dishes.

If you don't speak Chinese, you'll get inferior service. By that, I mean, your chicken wings might arrive an hour and ten minutes after you order them. We ordered three dishes. Pancakes with beef, eggplant and string beans, and classic chicken wings. Pancakes with beef were decent. Eggplant and string beans were good. But no wings to show even though we placed the order online in Chinese. 45-50 minutes pass and all the tables around us have their food. I told two servers that chicken wings are missing, and 10 minutes later, they brought pancakes with beef. I asked to cancel the wings after such a delay, and the server refused and placed the order again for the chicken wings that should have been out 30 minutes ago. Mind you, just fried chicken wings coated in sauce. An hour and ten minutes after I placed the order, chicken wings arrived and they were hot and crisp, but sweet like high fructose corn syrup. I have had less sweet baklava. I don't get the hype, Chinese desserts aren't as sweet. There's a reason all the diners there speak Chinese. If you don't speak Chinese, they don't care about serving you. Pretty discriminatory if you ask me.

The entrees here are reasonably priced for the portion size (11 to 17 dollar range), and the orders have consistently come out fast. The hot pots are also very good, and have plenty of meat. The appetizers are a bit pricey by comparison. There are several pages of items on the menu ranging from rice combos, hot pots, noodles, and family style. All in all, would recommend.

Really great food here, they seat you as soon as they have a table available. The service is what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. Attentive and fast. Took our order and got the food within 15-20 minutes. Chicken Wings (5/5): pretty close to San Tung wings, if not better... the chicken came out crispy and hot, jam packed with flavor Eggplant with string beans (5/5): beans were perfectly cooked that had a great crunch and the eggplant was not overly soft which tends to be the case for most places, has great flavor and not too salty Dumplings (3/5): not all that great, did have the typical taste of what a dumpling is like and nothing really unique, wish they had more of a bouncy texture as they came out pretty soft and mushy

Great food only critique would be that the chicken chow mein was under seasoned and bland. The veggie rolls were great and the mixed chicken, beef, and shrimp chow mein. We door dashed our food so we didn't dine in. The red bean free desserts were a delicious surprise and great end to the meal.

Update: They have affordable monthly specials that are mostly under $15. Sometimes it is regular menu items but they may take some of the ingredients off.We were surprised how good the prices were compared to other restaurants these days and the portions were generous as well. We ordered the fried pork chop on a whim. It had just the right amount of perfectly fried breading and a caramelized sugar coating. The hot pots all come with a sizzling crystal except for #20 because they said they did a taste test and concluded it would be too "sticky". However, the server was nice enough to reheat my hot pot in the back when the fat in the soup started to congeal. One thing of note is that both #1 and #20 hot pots say they come with pork blood on the menu. They haven't had pork blood both times we went and it didn't tell us. Later on, they said it was substituted with tofu. The beef noodle soup didn't come with the most quality ingredients but it was tasty and there was plenty of chunks of meat. Really dig the vibe here. Almost all of the tables were full even at 11pm on a Tuesday and people were stopping in to get to-go as well. Great place for a late night dinner when so many places close at 9pm. I heard from a friend that their bentos at lunch are pretty worth as well.Updates: It gets crowded around 7pm on weekdays. The fried meat dishes I tried are all good as well as their larger portion chili boiled fish dishes that comes in 4 flavors. For the dry pots, I would recommend the pork intestines and the braised pork. The beef dry pot had very stringy beef slices so it wasn't my favorite.
