My wife and I have been going to La Patisserie Bakery for years. We love their cookies, lemon bars, pastries, tarts, cakes, etc. Their version of the following... French Napoleon: Puff pastry filled with creamy custard and raspberry preserve (5/5). By far the best that we've had at any bakery. The flakiness of the pastry, but that layer of raspberry preserve has elevated their version above others. They have a similar one at SBF, but it's not the same. The flakey top is not as good as La Patisserie. Persian Napoleon: Layered puff pastry filled with light cream (4/5). Guava Cake: Guava filled and iced with guava mousse, topped with a thin layer of guava glaze (4/5). This is delicious, light, airy cake, with the creamy guava and glaze which is not too sweet. Burnt Almond: Vanilla and chocolate cake filled with Amaretto custard filling, iced with whipped cream, and topped with candied almonds (4/5). Black Forest: Chocolate cake filled with custard and cherry preserve, iced with whipped cream, and topped with Maraschino cherries (4/5).

I have been patronizing this bakery since 1983. No other bakery compares to it. They bake the most fantastic chocolate cake - Celestial Chocolate. You have to request it because it is not on their website or menu. Pp It is a 9work of art. They decorate it too withi ribbons of chocolate accented with gold foil. The filling is a heavenly frosting that I believe has sour cream in it. This cake is moist and not too sweet. I once brought it to my fathers-in-law for dessert, and he wanted to ensure that the leftovers stayed at his home. He knew it was my husband's/ his sons favorite cake. You cannot go wrong choosing any baked item because everything iIs superb.

La Patisserie made my wedding cake. They were easy to work with and delivered a beautiful, delicious cake (chocolate cake with strawberries and cream filling). Our guests loved the cake, and our colleagues at work demolished the leftovers on Monday.

A bit pricey, but worth it on a special occasion. I walked in without preordering and got a whole chocolate strawberry shortcake. Not very sweet, with great balance. The quality of the chocolate on the cake was very good, which I find pretty rare. You can get messages written on the cake as well.

Yum!!! You can taste the quality of the baked goods here!!! All 4 cakes and tart were delicious. Haven't had a box of dessert where I like every one of them!! My order of preference 1) burnt almond- love that it is not overbearingly sweet and super moist 2) Passionberry: yum, the texture is simply devine! 3) Fruit tart: another great option! Love the custard filling and the fruits on top were super fresh and naturally sweet! 4) Hazelnut bliss: the crunch on this was special! Will be back for more!

Having grown up in Cupertino I've known about the existence of this French pastry shop for a long time but having grown up broke I can't say I've ever had to satisfy a craving with authentic French pastries. It was my mom's birthday and I was looking for an alternative to the same Sheng Kee cake that we get for all family birthdays every year. I'd heard a lot of good things about the burnt almond cake over the years and I decided it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. They did have one full size burnt almond cake in the display case but I was worried that it might be too sweet especially for my mom, so I went with two mini burnt almond cakes instead just to be safe. I ended up eating one of the minis right outside the store to see for myself that it truly was good. The only negative I can say is that the iced whipped cream was very icy straight out of the store fridge. I had the other mini sit at room temperature for half an hour before eating and the texture of the cream was much better. Everyone in the family really enjoyed the flavor of the burnt almond and nobody thought it was too sweet. I'm not personally a big fan of almonds but I really enjoyed the combination of chocolate, cream, and the crunchy exterior. The display case was stocked full of other delicious pastries, so if I don't go back for more burnt almond cake soon I'll definitely be going back for one of their fruit tarts or eclairs.
This bakery was neat, well &lit, clean, and inviting.The selection was all yummy and the lady behind the counter was pleasant.It may seem trivial but I always remove a star if cleaning supplies are left within customer view. In this case, the wet floor sign on the dry floor hurts the look.I would use this bakery again as it was impressive.

Their persian Napoleon cake is to die for! Extraordinary even with lots of butter cream and less layers. It's creamy and not overly sweet. I loved it!The almond burnt cake is on the sweet side, moist inside and creamy outside with roasted almonds. Eclair is super rich, with tons of cream as well. Le Tulipe fruit bowl is so beautiful that I can stare at it all day. :)

La Pâtisserie pastries and cakes are some of my favorites. My partner loves Black Forest cake, and i love that I can turn to La Pâtisserie time and time again to make sure he has his favorite for his birthday. Their eclairs are also top notch - I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong here! Don't be deterred by the inconspicuous storefront, this place is worth the hype.
