Food was good. Service was adequate. Price was high. I would probably not return, better values and service elsewhere.

Amazing concept ( molecular gastronomy) that's been executed well. Our objective was to try as many appetizers as possible because that's where the innovation seems to be the most - ended up having 5 different appetizers ( that's a first for our family) and boy where we blown away. The presentation was top notch - everything looked so appealing. Just amazing Tried the paani poori first ( with the test tube and the injection? ) followed by the pav bhaaji fondue. Thoroughly enjoyed both. Kurkure bhindi def hit the sweet spot next. For drinks, we had ordered Thandai, kokum margarita and kalakhatta drink. Except the Thandai, other 2 drinks were really fun. The paneer dish came with the full setup, on the grill still smoking it up. Was fantastic couldn't get enough of it. The galouti kebab which we tried last was the only one that was not upto standards or maybe our palate was already reeling with all these tastes it was hard to appreciate possibly. We skipped main course ( though I was tempted to give the dum biryani a whirl or the mushroom truffle one);- next time maybe! Yes we are def coming here and bring some guests along as this is an unique place for Indian cuisine. We did dessert next and we went with the kulfi and flower pot. Great flavor and loved the texture ( spherification?) Can't have enough of this. Only reason to dock one star is not the price as one might guess - it's very competitively priced I'd say. It's because they automatically charge a service fee ( we were only 3 people not 5 or 6) and this was a reasonable 16% and if they at least admit it upfront like some businesses do I'd be perfectly fine. However they still add a suggested tip column and pass it off as an innocent mistake when asked about it . Def a dark pattern ( shadow tactics) and something that can be avoided.

Firstly, the positive thing about this restaurant is that everything we ordered was good, nothing was bad taste-wise. This is my second time here, and we returned only for the truffle biryani! This time around, we ordered the Galouti kebab, malai kofta, moti paneer makhni, corn and peas pulav, onion kulcha and butter garlic naan. However, the negatives: 1. Portion size for all the items was very VERY less. Quite literally half the portion of what other restaurants typically serve. 2. Expensive AF for the small portion sizes. I understand that it has a '$$$$' rating. But I think it's fair to expect standard quantity after paying so much! 3. They charge an 18% service fee by default for all parties irrespective of the party size. Yes, they are upfront about it, but it's a premium to pay, considering everything! To add insult to injury, they expect tips after paying the 18%! Although the taste was okay, I'm not going back because of the miniscule portion sizes and the mediocre service.

This place is great! Atmosphere here is cool and chill.Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some Indian classics with some twists.I had a appetiser , with a few of the mocktails having excellent flavour and great presentation.Thandai was a treat to my taste buds.Nitrogen bhel is the perfect innovation by the restaurant to make their customers go woow with a very different making style and combination of all ingredients has made it come up with perfect taste. We ordered malai kofta, was the perfect combination which left us mouthwatering. Also ordered many other starters ,main course and dessert which was perfect in taste with mesmerizing presentations.Overall this restaurant is the must go place for all who wants to have a perfect family time with prices extremely reasonable. A place perfect to visit.

This review was saved as a draft from 2021. I still wanted to post it to add weight to the disappointing reviews this place has - I was very excited to find an Indian fine dine restaurant close to home and was utterly disappointed. The food, the ambience, as well as the service. Have heard similar reviews from friends. We ordered a LOT of items thinking we're not ordering right but we just ended up spending more dollars. The restaurant is thinking in the right direction (hence an extra star for trying) but execution is so poor that I feel obligated to warn others to not spend money until something really improves.

Spectacular food. Everything made here is tasteful and creatively presented. This is a great place to introduce people to Indian food, dine in for special occasions and team events, and if you are hooked like me, just a casual lunch. Desserts are amazing, but honestly everyone in our group thought that a different dish was the best one! This happens very very rarely anywhere else, but consistent the case here! Kudos to the amazing chefs and of course the owners for running a gem of a place! Highly recommend it

A perfect gem for vegetarian people hidden in the heart of the Bay Area. The molecular Gastronomy experience was unique and cool. It resonates perfectly for the Mumbains who have visited this franchise in India. The food experience was unique and nothing I have experienced in an Indian restaurant before--good portion size for a high-end restaurant. Our favs were pav bhaji fondue, Pani puri, Hazari paneer tikka, corn palak lasooni, and mushroom truffle biryani. For dessert, we had paan moose and bubbling Kesar Pista kulfi, which was mind-blowing. Overall, each bite reminded us of Mumbai and left us coming for more. A must-visit for vegetarians!!! The staff and owners are very friendly and the service was quick and efficient.

We had dinner SpiceKlub last week. Was wowed with the ambience/setting right when we entered the restaurant. We had quiet a few appetizers and Pav Bhaji Fondue, Samosa Chaat and Hazari Paneer Tikka were my favorites. Corn Palak Lasooni and Paneer Kadai paired really well with Garlic Naan and Roomali Roti. Mushroom Truffle Biryani was amazing as well. To top off the evening, we had delicious Bubbling Kesar Pista Kulfi and Paan Mousse for dessert. The Paan Mousse was prepared right in front of us and it was delicious. Not only did the food taste great, but it was also made and presented differently compared to anything I have experienced before at an Indian restaurant. Oh and I forgot to mention the amazing selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks they have. Overall, an excellent visit with unique food experience and great service.

Food was 4, service and hospitality was 1. Overall, a meh experience. Feeling salty about not being allowed to pick a table. Were celebrating a birthday, we wanted the nice booth. The host was pretty abrupt and said we couldn't get those seats as "someone was coming". No one came. We were there for an hour. Restaurant only had 3 patrons on a weekday evening and they couldn't accommodate a seat of our choice. Host really needs to get in a better mood, he was so curt and just made us feel sad. Meh. A server came to take our order, and he did just that. No pleasantries, nothing. "What do you want", "is that all", ok". No small talk, no suggestions. Came to drop our food off, and showed up for awkwardly changing plates and then bill. This is what I expect from a regular restaurant. Not from a space that charges 18% service fee and asks for tip on top of the pre tax bill + tax + service fee. Who does this? Tip is on pre tax bill. I just didn't feel good about anything. Maybe I'm just a salty person. Food was pretty good, some organs better than other. Hazari paneer tikka - 2/5 - bland af. I'll leave it at that. Mushroom spinach shashlik - 5/5 - get this!! Juicy , and bursting with flavor. Two mushroom pieces were sandwiched with spinach filling. YUM. Galouti kabab - 4/5 - melt in the mouth. A tad salty. I ate this with my naan. Lasooni Palak 4/5 - refreshingly different, enjoyed the taste and texture. Under salted. Overall a very forgettable experience. Definitely NOT fine dining not most definitely not upscale. Will not be back. Also absolutely no molecular gastronomy. Just regular food.

They get a lot of points for presentation, all the food looks fantastic but for the price point it really does fall flat. I've had most of these dishes at other restaurants that taste better without the presentation here so that's a trick that's missing here for sure. Super excited to come here but when you pay a high price you expect a bit more. Service was slow as well but they did mention that to be the case as they were having trouble with staffing so it is what it is. All in all, I wish the food tasted better because the presentation deserves it. One of our starters was salty and the pani was flat and not very flavorful. A restaurant over salting food is just not acceptable.

I visited this place for the very first time. The service for super slow and the staff was rude. They didn't explain any of the dishes we ordered, also ask they to give recommendations but didn't know what to say. The food was okay and not so great in taste in return amount of money paying. Had a very high expectations.

Okay, to start with this place is super hyped!! Please don't come here with an expectation to have good taste or experience . This place is no match to the original Mumbai spice klub. I don't understand on what basis they marked the prices of the items!! Nothing in this place was "high class" for the price I am paying! Here is a quick summary: Ambience : awful, nothing that strikes out ( below average) Food : the concept of molecular gastronomy is very limited and not that professional as it appears to be . We ordered nitro BHEL, pav bhaji fondu (fondu was cold), malai kofta (too sweet and kofta was hard) and paneer lazeez ( too greasy). The food was just meh (below avg) !! Everything is over priced and quantity was very less!! For $22 I would expect a curry to be sufficient for 2 ppl at least. And don't forget 18% tax on everything !!! I will surely NEVER go again to this place !! I wish food inspectors could review and approve the prices as well!!

I was very excited when I heard spiceklub opened in cupertino, as I have been a fan of their food back in mumbai ,India.I booked the table in advance. They only give 2 hours time slot as it usally gets very crowded. Spiceklub is a fine dining restaurant based on molecular gastronomy theme. The food is indian fusion. The Appetizers were innovative and tasty. The service was fast and meticulous. The ambience is satisfactory. Some of the dishes we ordered were: 1.Hazaripaneer: Tasted superb with fresh mint chutney 2. Pav bhaji fondue: The bhaji was creamy and din't taste at all like pav bhaji. I would avoid it 3.veg tawamasala : Hot,spicy and flavorful 4.Bubbling Kulfi:Must try One should definitely visit for the experience. This place definetaly comes on pricer side compared to other indian places here.

$$$$$ - super expensive but worth the experience. This place definitely made the vegetarians very happy. They had a good variety of drinks and we ordered a bunch of them. Since we were a huge group we ordered a lot of food as well. I will only be listing my favorites down below. The service was prompt and pretty attentive. They have creative serving dinnerware which speaks for good presentation..all in one it was a good experience! Don't bother with the roomali roti or the thandai. Definitely not a value for your buck Drinks: kalakhatta mojito and gulabo Appetizers: mushroom shashlik, kurkuri bhindi Curry: paneer lazeez and dal makhani Breads: chilli cheese naan

Ruta and her staff pulled through on this excellent culinary experience. Having come here to celebrate two birthdays, we fully enjoyed our Mr India and Mumbai Times cocktails. Although the presentation for Rowdy was excellent, the flavor profile was not quite right for any of us and they kindly took it back and changed it out. They were a little short staffed so we ordered all at once and proceeded to get all of our food at the right times as they were made. Well curated. This restaurant is premised off of key molecular gastronomy elements. Presentation is amazing, and the highlight was the way Pani Puri was served. I cannot imagine ordering this food to-go is worth the price. Of course you can get Indian food elsewhere in South Bay for cheaper, but the ambiance and dining experience Is what sets SpiceKlub apart. Having opened in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic, this place is now bustling and Yelp reservations are highly recommended. I wish we could specify indoor seating on it though as some evenings can get quite chilly even with heaters outside. All in all, a great job by SpiceKlub and staff. I wish you the best of success as your business continues to grow!
