Chloe who took the order with sassy attitude was on another level. This brand will die if they can’t first be thankful for the customers business, improve quality of food, and keep the hygienics. Oh the mango? Next time you order, compare the perfectly cubed menu photo to the actual with tiny triangular pieces to proudly exhibit all the cost cutting measures to maximize profit.

Shaved ice is not all the same! This Korean take on shaved ice is distinctly different then the more usual Taiwanese take. The Korean take is creamier, closer to ice cream. My personal tastes lean toward the Taiwanese take more, where the ice is more refreshing with less cream infused. To eat his own, however.

I enjoy the dessert here, but prefer hui Lau Shan. There could be more in the bing su, like mochi; but it’s pretty standard ice and fruit topping. The toast are tasty, too.

Very disappointed! i’ll keep it short but not sweet, the bingsoo tasted very bad and watery not at all like original bingsoo. The indoors is too hot it makes the bingsoo melt super quickly and they refuse to turn on the A/C and when asked to sit outside they will put your bingsoo in a plastic container which is not aesthetic or nice! not enjoyable at all. Won’t be coming here again.

The place is so chaotic. Maybe visiting on a Sunday is the reason but all the crew seems so tired and exhausted to do their job properly. We we're given a buzzer to notify us when our order is ready. It did not buzz at all while our order is already sitting on the counter for quite sometime. Until one crew shouted our order the we went to pick it up from the counter. Why are we given that thing when it's useless to begin with? Next the tray where they place the bowls looks messy, you can't touch the bowl without getting your hand dirty and sticky from the stuff overflowing while they prep your bowl. The visual is fine but don't touch the bowl! It would have been nice that they wipe off those excess ingredients that come flowing down the outside of the bowl before they place it on the tray. It's those simple things that a customer would like to have to make a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

Shaved ice dessert is meant to be enjoyed, shared slowly over conversations with friends and family. It’s supposed to be refresh and satisfy one’s thirst, happiness, and desire for sweets. Unfortunately, that’s not the case here.
Although the shaved ice is fine, it melts too fast! Before you can enjoy it in your mouth, the sensation goes away quickly. In the bowl too, the ice melts away like butter on a hot pan! You and your friends have to eat it quickly before it all melts away. You don’t even have time for conversations or relaxation! It’s like a race to see who’s faster, the ice melts or you eat it before it melts! And before you can enjoy it, it’s all gone. It’s not satisfying nor is it a good place to hang out with friends. Oddly, we were very thirsty and drank lots of water afterward.
On a side note, the air conditioning was not turned on even on hot days!

The wait was very long, 20 minutes of waiting for one bingsoo order. The bingsoo tasted like nothing and the injeolmi was hard, when it’s supposed to be soft. For $13.64 it was a very disappointing experience. Looks good though.

My family and I have been staying at the Residence Inn next to Saul & Beans for several years (we come every year for Scout camp). We decided to try the mango dessert and I was disappointed. I have tried mango desserts in Hong Kong and Taiwan…and my e my expectations were raised a bit high by my previous experience but yes it was disappointing. Maybe it is the mangos they used but the mochi in the dessert was a bit chaulky/floury tasting. My son who loves mochi stopped eating after about 3 bites and said “nope” so that said it all. Also it is kinda over-priced for a little mango a bunch of ice and mochi.
It really took a long time for them to make it too.

It makes me smile big when my husband offers an outing to get bingsu. One is enough for 2 or more people. We each bought one to go. Ate our fill at the shop and took the rest to go for another time. It’s a bit expensive for an everyday treat, but a few times a year, why not splurge? And SomiSomi is right next door.
