I love the original gyudon here! Food was served fast. Not a line while I was there. Tables were ok but could use more cleaning

Came here at weekday lunch time, got the gyu-don and Tokyo fried chicken side. Both were disappointing, I could barely taste anything other than salt in the gyudon, and the beef wasn’t tender. The chicken was also over-fried, stringy, and too salty. I gave up after eating one piece. For the almost the same price you can a beef bowl and tempura from Marugame down the street and it’d be better…

So ummm...I just came back from Tokyo, Japan and went to this Yoshinoya in the Bay Area and it just does not compare to the one in Japan. I'm spoiled now. I was missing Japan and had to come here and try it. The food was average but decently priced for what you get in America. Got their combo XL and you get their beef and chicken combo with steamed veggies. The chicken was good but was not grilled or crispy(no skin) and just drenched with sauce. The beef was fattier or chewier. Steamed veggies was plenty. Also while supplies last, additional $3 added chicken nuggets which was the only thing I really liked.A fast food chain as we got our food fast. Plenty of tables here and it was pretty full like their private parking lot for a Saturday lunch. This fast food restaurant has been here awhile and needs updating. I was full from what I chose but was just not satisfied. Good even though for what you get, don't get me wrong. This would not be my first choice for my beef bowl meal though.

Pretty terrible Yoshinoya, nothing like in Japan. I'd suggest the Japanese market across the street of you want a gyudon, better and cheaper. The "Tokyo chicken" is just a very mild zangi.

Egg rolls were just mushy inside gross. The chicken had lots of fatty skin with no meat attached.

I love Yoshinoya and this is the lone surviving Yoshinoya in the Bay Area after the one in Santa Clara closed. I can’t give it anything less than 5 as I don’t want it to close down.

Food is overall good but when I tried to order their boba they messed up my order they gave me chai and they didn’t fill it to the top which I found to be a waste of my money because I asked for no ice. I left

This is one of the only reviews I will write. I have been a long time customer here for years. The food is consistent! Not much else to say.No other restaurant beat this, it is a classic.

Please open more yoshinoya near me! The taste is exactly the same as what I had in japan and man is this beef bowl delicious. What I have been doing to avoid driving is to buy 4 combo xl and refrigerate them so I can have yoshinoya for the coming week. It's not optimal but it will do for

First time eating at a Yoshinoya. Food was absolutely delicious! Got the beef and the fried chicken with the sweet and spicy sauce. I didn't even need any soy sauce for the rice cause the meat itself was so flavorful, it left the perfect amount of flavor on the rice! Used a coupon so it was super affordable for a big portion. Will definitely be coming here again!Parking: It's a small lot but luckily they provide multiple exits to reduce bottle necking.

Seven years ago, I didn't like Yoshinoya because it tasted different from Japanese Yoshinoya, but every month I received a coupon in the mail, so I ate there occasionally. Around 2018, the taste became closer to that of Japan and became delicious. I haven't seen a coupon in years. I'm sorry.
