Ask for LJ’s sauce on the side if you want to try to keep your tots crispy!

The OG breakfast burrito is good but I feel a bit overpriced. You could get two breakfast burritos for a bit less at Nick‘s deli in Los Alamitos and you won’t lack quality and or great taste.

Great breakfast burrito shack outside of home Depot. Good options. Spicy salsas. Delicious burritos. Friendly staff. Some of the best breakfast burritos in southern California.

I've eaten a lot of burritos in my 50+ years, more than I care to admit, especially to my doctor. I've traveled the world, ventured into street markets, tucked into taco trucks, and chased down culinary legends in dusty little towns. And yet, nothing, nothing has come close to the queso burrito at LJ's.

This burrito? It's not just food. It's a life event. It's like a warm hug from someone who really knows what you've been through. I genuinely can't think of a single way to make it better. Believe me, I tried. I even paused mid-bite, stared off into the distance like a food philosopher, and came up empty. It's just that good.

Oh, and let's talk about that creamy cilantro salsa. Honestly, if you bottled it and sold it as a mood stabilizer, I'd buy it by the gallon. It's herby, tangy, silky, basically the Beyoncé of salsas.

Now, let me just say, this girl can eat, I know my way around a fork. My husband's no stranger to a good meal either. And we split this burrito. Split it! And still found ourselves happily stuffed and a little bit in love, with the food, with each other, with life.

LJ's, you didn't just serve a burrito. You served a memory. A moment. A reason to believe that culinary perfection does, in fact, exist, and it comes wrapped in foil.

Really good burrito, but expensive. $18 for a burrito & extra salsa ($0.75).
