I have been wanting to try this place since a friend mentioned it to me. I was charmed from the moment I walked in the door. It was open and cozy at the same time. The table set up is reminiscent of a Paris café and the housewares are on tables you wander through like an open-air market.The coffee menu is not extensive, but rather a curated selection of unique options you won’t find at Starbucks. I had a hard time choosing which delicious treat to try from the beauties in the case. I ended up with a ham and cheese Sammy that took me straight back to Denmark.I took time looking at all the wines and found some favorites and many that were new to me. They have weekly tastings and a wine club, so I will definitely be back to try those out! Amanda was really informative and did not get annoyed with all of my questions.The entire store was clean and neat. It really reminded me of shops I have visited in Coronado.I will be back!!!

Wine and coffee! Plus there’s a whole bunch of other stuff like snacks, hard kombucha, and gelato. The staff was super friendly and gave me a bunch card for my coffee. I love bunch cards. It shows they value your loyalty. Coffee was very good too. Highly recommend.

A wonderful local small business with a wide variety of delicious options from coffee, homemade pastries, wine, snacks, etc. Everything is amazing. Loved the hand held pot pie and the gluten free chocolate chip scone, some of my favorites. The wine selection is endless and the staff is very friendly too. I'm looking forward to attending a wine tasting soon. I will be back.

My husband bought me a chocolate as I was with our toddler next door and so I opened it and we both took a piece as we were shopping. The chocolate tasted a bit odd so I looked at the package and noticed it was expired by almost a whole year. I was raving about this place to my friends and family who live in cypress because the coffee was reasonably priced and the pastries were good. However, I will no longer give my money to this business because one of the workers there were extremely rude to my kind husband who went to ask about the expired chocolate before he even requested a refund. The women who was servicing him did refund him but maliciously laughed out loud at him for taking a few bites which was from me too. She gave him attitude and was assuming sarcastically that my husband consumed half when he and I consumed one row on our first bite as the chocolate bar was small to start with. Overall, it was very uncalled for and unprofessional to a returning customer.

I had already visited Modern Cellar a couple of times for the wine tasting, and it was a great experience. On the third visit, I decided to try the Lavazza coffee, the Cafe Della Casa Latte was recommended. My daughter tried in iced and had it as a hot mocha. We both loved it, and will be coming back. I took one home for my husband, and e agreed that it was sone of the best mocha's he'd had as well. Who knew this little wine-tasting place would have such great coffee.
