Waited in line for 22 minutes only for them to tell me that they aren’t taking food orders!! Would be nice if they had a sign saying so before you walked in and waited in line and wasted your time. Will never patronize again.

If you want real Puerto Rican Boricua food, Señor Big Ed is the place to go to in LA!

Since I'm also Puerto Rican mixed race (Hawaii also has a history of Puerto Rican work migration), I wanted to try their Pasteles plate. I also got the arroz con gandules.
Its super excellent food!

They also not only have a Puerto Rican food menu board, they also have a Mexican food menu board.

Their service is up to par and friendly too.

They also gained a new regular because their food is consistent and is cooked with the love of food!

The best Puerto Rican food in South CA!

Visiting LA for a conference and went to search for mofongos and was not disappointed. This is a great little shop with a nice large dining area accommodate multiple families and couples easily at same time. Kitchen is fast and service was excellent! We had the mofongo with chicken and one with beef as well. Excellent delicious and wonderfully seasoned, we also ordered the beans stew with pork bone. Took home a platter of tostones. Maduros were delicious and their Puerto Rican house rice is worth the trip alone. 10/10 would recommend and come back here again.

The food is excellent, taste just like mom and grandmas cooking; the smell, when you walk in says it all, but more importantly, the service is out of this world. They go out of their way to make us feel welcome and get to know us on first name basis. I recommend anyone that is looking to feel like you're eating back in Puerto Rico to visit Senor Big Ed, I promise it will not disappoint you.

By far the worst mexican food I’ve ever had. The chicken tacos have no flavor or seasoning what so ever. If you get the chorizo and egg burrito, expect to get a bean and cheese burrito with a hint of chorizo. Yall should be ashamed to call this mexican food
