Delicious food
Great local restaurant! My family and I walked here because it's nearby. The food is always tasty, the staff are friendly, and the portions are a good size for the price. Definitely worth visiting.
I love this place and I come here often. I'm pretty familiar with a lot of the people who work here now because I am such a regular. That said, I had a pretty unpleasant experience during the Mexico / Ecuador match in which a borracho got in my face and threatened to fight me because I told the bartender that he was taking straws biting and chewing on them and then spitting them onto the other side of the bar into the area where the bartenders prepared drinks.

Las Pencas de Maguey Restaurant is a great spot for a fun dinner in Daly City/Colma. The people who work here care very much about providing an excellent experience. The restaurant has unique dishes like the Trompo de Pastor $29.50, a table side personal vertical grill with a pineapple on top. The al pastor was flavorful with charred tips, bright adobo sauce and beautiful marinated pork taste. It came with tortillas, free chips & salsa, and three types of hot sauce at the table. The seafood is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and prepared beautifully. The Aguachiles were amazing, fresh, spicy, with lemon. The oysters were very fresh as well. The menu leaned-in to seafood and expected dishes, with a kids' menu page and dishes not regularly seen elsewhere. Everything was executed to perfection. Service was excellent. The restaurant room was full at 9pm on a Saturday night. The Google Maps hours are incorrect; the restaurant is open until 1am on the weekends, and the club/dance room is open until 2am. On the weekdays, there is karaoke in the other room. On the weekends, the other room is a club/dancing with bouncers. One unpleasant experience happened during a match when a borracho got in a guest's face, but the bartender responded well. This won't prevent returning because this place is really great. Ample seating, clean inside, and good service.
