Honestly, the few times I've been here, it hasn't been the best experience. They tend to advertise all these special promotions but always fall short.
We had ordered the Mother's Day special, and it took over 2 hours for it to be ready for pick up. So many people were complaining, looking for their orders, and wondering what the heck is going on. We tried ordering the Labor Day special, and now the perk was you can order online. The problem was that when you ordered it was sold out. How was that possible if they weren't even open yet. I felt like it was a scam because you could order all the items, and it was available, just not the promo they had.
We placed an order through doordash for my mom's birthday, and they fell short again. The chicken was dry and not juicy. It doesn't taste like what it used to. For the price you pay, the taste was comparable to a filipino restaurant where it's turo-turo. If you know, you know.
My family always wants to order from here because of the promo, but in my opinion, you're better going to another filipino restaurant.
The place isn't that big and not always clean. The tables always look like they need to be bussed. People who work here are not super polite. They tend to ignore you. Which I been is super rude.

It's been a couple of years & they improved! Parking is easy but it's around other stores so it might get busy during certain days. The staff is attentive & very kind! The place is unique it shows history of how Max originated. Clean & safe as well! The food is good!!! I'm impressed so far best Halo-halo & it's huge!!! It feeds 2 to 3 people & affordable! The portions is good ? sharable as well! Definitely will be coming back to try other menus & I'll do an update! So far so good please ? support ❤️
Parking: Parking is easy if the area isn't busy because it's surrounded by other businesses. Just prep to walk a little further from parking but it's free & safe area!
Kid-friendliness: Friends to families & kids friendly place
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for wheelchairs

Yikes””” Max Restaurant it’s not the original Max ingredients anymore… imagine the Pinakbit I ordered the other day; oh bhoy, you can swim, it so watery & plenty of water. Very tasteless, no flavor at all, too much commercials. It should remain the same and follow the old Max ingredients before without any budgeting the vegetables and the flavor for the high price. They need a right chef cook to keep the reputation of original Max flavor and ingredients. Price is not the issue, but you guys have serve the customer foods correctly with love….
Filipino cuisine is subject to a very high standard of review. The food and presentation must be impeccable, and the taste should evoke a sense of nostalgia for home cooking. Max elevates this standard with their exceptional fried chicken, which is a favorite.
It is always a pleasure to dine here.

I ordered a fried chicken to go and it is good as I expected although it is very small and I consider it expensive. When I arrived home, my excitement was gone. The chicken was missing a drumstick. It wasn't a WHOLE CHICKEN!!!
The sinigang that I order is too salty I can’t eat it trying to call the restaurant it’s hard to talk to someone

The food is great and service is awesome. Not many items on the menu make it better. Make sure to ask before ordering because the names are in Tagalog.
Parking: Lots of parking.

The food we ate is very good.We chose their specials because they have chicken, sinigang, pork, pancit, and kare-kare for 5 of us.We are from Florida, and we don't have Max's Restaurant (I think). If I am back again in Daly City. I'll definitely be here eating.

The Max Restaurant at the Gellert Marketplace in Daly City was the worst branch I've ever experienced. The service was incredibly poor, and here's why:My mom and I ordered crispy tokwa, fresh lumpia, and buko pandan, but after 45 minutes of waiting and seeing another table's order arrive before ours, I had to inquire about our order with Ms. Jhoy, who I assumed was the manager. She dismissed me and claimed the kitchen was preparing our order, despite other tables receiving their food promptly. When I questioned why our order was taking longer, she raised her voice and made excuses.Eventually, our order arrived, but the server admitted it hadn't been processed because it wasn't printed. This level of service is unacceptable. Although the food was good, the lack of apology and assurance from the team leader demonstrated a complete disregard for customer satisfaction.

Food delivered by Uber had a gum in between the food containers.. super nasty!!! ???
It's alright, the difference is the flavor because, in the Philippines, Max's restaurants are so delicious there, It's like eating your favorite food but in the US, Max's restaurants are decent they don't have much flavor, it's like eating British food, especially the Daing the Bangus, the inside of the restaurant is dirty and not that dirty just perfect amount of dirty stuff lmao.

Waited in line (still waiting btw) for more than 30 minutes now. No one has come to us or acknowledged our presence. No friendly face or smile. I know it’s a bit busy but this is not good service at all. Will not go here again. I waited here long enough so I might as well stay and eat.
