The restaurant’s ambiance is casual, making it suitable for both family gatherings and solo dining. Plus, they have free parking.Think neon nights, salsa seats, and chefs doing the cha-cha in the open kitchen.Pot Combos (Simmer Huang’s Cuisine): Gather your food-loving friends and indulge in a simmering pot of goodness. Meats, veggies, and spices come together for a flavor fiesta.Utensil for dining is plastic like Togo fork and spoon.

We were craving skewers but ended up here by chance. Well-known for the dry pots but we ended up ordering items that were far from it. We ordered lamb and beef skewers, smashed cucumbers, beef roll, dan dan noodles, wontons in chili oil, XLB, and custard buns. It was quite busy on a Saturday night, and the food did not disappoint. Plenty for 3 people to share. The highlight were the beef rolls, despite being small in size they were packed in flavor and crispiness. A runner-up would be the XLB, super thin wrapper and lots of juice/filling inside which was perfect for a cold night.

This restaurant tastes very good. I eat here often. The grilled fish, seafood hotpot and cold dishes, and cakes are all delicious. I don't know why business is not doing well.Maybe the location is not very good, rather remote.

Overall enjoyed dishes especially the short rib and sweet and sour ribs appetizer. We added noodles to the short ribs which made it a solid dish for two

We are so pleasantly surprised with this place. We are already planning our next visit. We ordered the Spicy Grilled Fish ( Black Cod). The flavor is unbelievably amazing. All the ingredients just go so well together. It's definitely a must try!

Simmer Huang is my go to spot when I'm in Daly City and I'm craving something flavorful. Xiao lung bao - WOWEEEE. Some of the best XLB's I've had in a while. The skin was generally thin and the inside was JUICY. The meat was tender and there was soup inside. YUM YUM YUM. Dry pot - I've tried the beef rib and seafood and they were both quite good but the beef rib gets my vote! I'll have to try the frog because I'm quite curious! If you get a noodle add on, it's fairly generous! Smashed cucumber - my dads favorite! Light spicy, but very flavorful with all the peanuts. Pan fried buns - a tad oiler than I would like, but fried nicely at the bottom! Also quite juicy (though nothing can beat the XLB). Beef fried rice - perfect for a Cantonese palette. My dad loved this. The beef was tender and reheated well surprisingly! Lamb skewers - I've been a couple times and it usually came dry. When it didn't though, Y U M. The fat of the lamb and the cumin is a killer combo. Grilled fish - pretty spendy, but it'll last you a few meals. Lots of potatoes so no need for a rice or noodle add on in my opinion. You order through an app, but they will give paper menus if you ask for them (seniors love paper)! The service is prompt and they refilled my water a few times when I was there. Also the restaurant is so aesthetic. Lots of cute kitties on the wallpaper, neon lights, etc.

I originally found this establishment in Newark and was blown away with the beef brisket noodle soup that when I saw they now had a location in my backyard, I had to take the wifey here for a try. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated and provided water and thei mini appetizer tray. We went over the menu and chose the same beef brisket soups and added an order XLB, lamb skewers, chicken wings, and pork spare ribs. We also had the assortments (3) of their spices on the side to add on whatever we pleased. All our side dishes were really good, XLB was fresh and flavorful with a good amount of soup explosion than I expected, lamb was tasty not gamy at all, wings properly fried and seasoned, and the pork rib pieces were sweet and tangy. Our fav spices were the dumpling chili oil and the powdered chili, which, together added to our soup, elevated the broth to another level. We were stuffed with leftovers and planning our next visit to try their larger family style pots of goodness. If you're in the mood for some flavorful authentic cuisine, I highly suggest this place. It'll make you a believer!

Came here and ordered the fish with pickled vegetables and was highly disappointed. The fish came with no head and there was not any pickled vegetables. The fish only came with potatoes and bean sprouts. It was definitely not worth the 70-80 dollars they were charging. The portion was so small we were still hungry after and it was only 2 people dining. Should have read the bad reviews.

The price is a little expensive, but the taste is very good and the service is also very good (5?, reviewed 1 year ago, picture 1 chicken wing pot)The villagers came again after a year and were extremely disappointed. Nothing wrong with the service, just the food. First of all, it is expensive. The seafood pot costs 80 yuan, which is not enough for three people. It may also be due to the high consumption in the Bay Area. Five small fried meat skewers cost 7 yuan. What is even more exaggerated is that the stew pot with enoki mushrooms costs 8 yuan, which is more expensive than meat. The skewers are expensive, and not much is added to the pot. The most disappointing thing is that the shrimps are too stale. They may be old frozen products, and the shrimp shells are empty. The price is not cheap either, so use snacks for the ingredients. The three of us ate for 130 not including tips and we were still not full. Won't be back again.

We've heard great things about this restaurant. So we went with friends, and tried both the grilled fish (non spicy) and the dry pot (xiang la / Sichuan style). Both were flavorful, delicious and authentic. And the portion was large, with many variety of fresh vegetables. We were full and still took home some leftover. The service was excellent, our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The place was very clean with cute deco and tasteful wall paintings. Overall a great experience. We'd definitely go back again.

Randomly stumbled upon this place looking for dry pot and wow it did not disappoint. Plenty of seating inside, no wait for dinner and fast service. We ordered the cucumber salad , lamb skewer, chicken heart skewer and mixed seafood dry pot. The salad was typical , I like how it included lots of roasted peanuts with the shell on. Skewers were a bit dry but that's because we didn't finished them before the star of the show, the dry pot, arrived. It was huuuge for 3 hungry people who struggle to finish it. My favorite was the imitation crab stick and the shrimp that soaked up all the yummy flavors of everything else. It had a tad bit of too much potatoes so if you're ordering rice on the side, you won't need it since there is plenty of carb here. It was quiet inside for a Monday evening but super clean and I could tell it's a family run business. Would be coming back to try the other pots if I'm ever in the area!

Simmer Huang Miao Grill located in Serramonte Center offers a wide selection of Chinese simmer pots and dry pots. A "simmer pot" is similar to a hot pot but has a base of sauce rather than soup. The Seafood Carnival Pot came with a melange of seafood including shell-on/head-on shrimp, squid roll, mussels, sliced black cod, and a whole lobster, all in a savory sauce with vegetables including celery, sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, and peppers. My favorite items in this pot were the silky black cod and the lobster, which had lots of juicy meat. We also got the Beef Rib Dry Pot, made with sliced beef short ribs, sliced potatoes, Chinese cauliflower, green peppers, celery, woodear mushrooms, and peanuts, all cooked in a spicy, oily mixture of chilies and Sichuan peppercorns--definitely a suitable dish for fans of numbing spice! All the pots came in huge portion sizes perfect for sharing, and ordering via QR code was quick and efficient.

I wasn't blown away, but I did enjoy our two dishes. My mom is in her 80's and no longer eats like she used to. That sometimes limits us to two or three dishes and less flavors to try. At a glimpse of the reviews, I was intrigued by Hot Pot, Dry Pot and Simmer Pot. There was a large poster on the window showing a variety of food items. After we were seated, I began to scan the QR Code on the table and a server brought us a paper menu. The lunch menu is nowhere as extensive as the dinner menu. No Hot Pot, Dry Pot or Simmer Pot. A few dumplings, Chow Mein, Fried Rice, enough for a full meal but certainly not all of the intriguing things I was hoping for. Xiao Long Bao - 5 - Thin skin, lots of soup, flavorful, delicious! Beef Chow Mein - 4 - Flavor was good, minimum of Beef, Green Onions, some Bean Sprouts. Bit more Veg would have been appreciated. Would we go back? Maybe with a group of people but I'm going to have to take another look at the menu and pricing first.

Have eaten here twice. I want to like it but food to my palette is just ok. The simmer spice blend on some of the dishes taste off to me. Kind of like the 5 spice flavor on a Peking duck. I believe it's an acquired taste. Some dishes were great though. I think if your background caters to the acquired taste of the spices mixture, then you may enjoy it.
