About Simmer Huang / Miao Grill

Simmer Huang / Miao Grill is a casual spot with free parking, ideal for gatherings. Neon lights and an open kitchen add flair to the dining experience. The menu features skewers, dry pots, and other delights, with the lamb and beef skewers, beef rolls, and XLB stealing the show. Despite its remote location, the grilled fish, hotpot, and cakes are delicious. The restaurant is a go-to for tasty eats.

Customers describe the restaurant as cute, with cat portraits, and mention that the service can be fast and friendly, although some have experienced issues. The dry pot, featuring flavorful meat and vegetables, is popular, while the seafood can sometimes be overcooked. The iron beef has received criticism for being tough and of poor quality. Some dishes, like the braised beef noodle soup and soybean paste pork noodles, receive mixed reviews. However, the overall dining experience remains enjoyable, especially when sharing the dry pot with rice. Many appreciate the generous portions, with takeout options like soup dumplings and scallion pancakes being well-received, making it a great late-night place to visit.

Plenty of parking, freshly made udon noodles. We ordered the braised beef ramen and the beef bone broth udon.
The braised beef ramen had a little too much fat that we removed, needed more meat.
The Beef bone broth ramen on the menu did not say it had mint leaves inside. Threw me off with the amount of it.
Both broths were great and the noodles tasted fresh. Would try different dishes if returned but online now says temporarily closed now, not sure how long ago this happened.
I love their hours, self serve ordering, and the variety of their menu.
The deep-fried skewers are super great! The meat is fresh and the seasoning is awesome. The rice noodles are not seasoned enough. They should add more flavors into the noodle soup.
