Highly recommend the spicy braised beef noodle soup with the signature housemade noodles. The noodles were cooked to perfection with a nice bite and chewiness without being doughy, and were flavorful thanks for the rich broth. The soup has a kick which was entirely welcome and the spice paired well with the sourness, cutting through the heaviness of both the beef and the wheat noodles. Will definitely be back to enjoy more!

The green peppercorn fish noodle soup was light and clean without any fishiness ruining the dish. I would want more peppercorn flavor though for me to strongly recommend.“

“So I stopped in to pick up a catering order from a different restaurant and it was to my surprise when I seen this place in serramonte. I had no idea. I was stoked! I love it because you could choose whatever your palette desired down to the flavoring. The secret to this madness is to try and stack as much as possible in your bowl (smash down your protein). “Arrived around 1:45 on a Friday and got seated right away for 1. Wanted to get their jian bing but ended up craving something warm and soupy since it was chilly and raining outside so I got the three flavor dumplings with soup (pork, shrimp, and chive)!

Broth is super light and comforting, dumplings were chewy and had a rly good amount of filling, so even though the dumplings came less than u would get if u didn’t order it with soup (I believe 8 vs 10), it filled me up well! Price was super reasonable as well, only cost around $13 with tax and tip. Would come again if I’m around the area for something light and quick!“

Underwhelming:
- cucumber salad. Normally I love this dish, but the flavor of the sesame oil and garlic did not come through on the cucumber. It tasted like the cucumbers were plated immediately after being crushed and chopped instead of getting some salt and 5-10 minutes of rest.“

“Been coming since they first open and I know and read it’s hit or miss on service depends on the day and person working but for my years of experience I’ve always enjoyed it. As long they get the usual food I order right and on time, on top of that food and dessert is good than this place is a four star for me. They don’t need to check on us or serve us like kings or queens because it’s a Hong Kong dessert house people. It’s not Gary danko with a $$$$ sign. The price is good. I usually get the egg puff which is better than all egg puff location even eggette. The HK milk tea is good but not as good as honk kong, fried garlic chicken wings, soy sauce wings,ham egg sandwich and mix fruits. Oh their green tea ice cream is a no no but vanilla is fine. They use the same batter for the waffle as the egg puff which is so yummy! Moving on that’s my usual order which has kept me going here for years. Wish they open earlier but I know they cater to the late people.“

“A no-frills place for authentic comfort Chinese (and a few other non-Chinese but still Asian) dishes that is very convenient for those arriving late at SFO airport (they open past midnight). Walking distance to a few hotels or to a bus stop along El Camino Real, which passes several hotels in the area. I ordered the beef rib pho and fried oysters. I was satisfied with my meal and the beef rib was tender and flavorful. If ever I arrive in SF late at night on another trip, I won't hesitate to eat at this restaurant again.“

“Cramped space with 5 stools along wall and window BUT the rice rolls are FRESH made to order.

Price for the rolls are $10 and under. Also have a few dim sum items but was told it’s Toisan version since owners are Toisan. Also have some homemade Chinese version tamales which is pretty good as well. Usually hard to find some with good stuffing.“

Nasi lemak was nice and portions were largely.

The crab and mantou rolls can be had here are only available in few places in the city that serve Singaporen chilli crab. The sauce was nice and tangy. We got the tamarind one not the pepper sauce but I think they have both.

The otak otak was ok.

Sambal was also ok.

The laksa was very bland. Not enough coconut milk in the broth.

Overall one or the few places to get Singaporean food in SF. But if you want a lower price point prefer Dabao Singapore.“

Contrary to some reviews, I do not find staff to be rude, in fact they are friendly and approachable, esp when you are return customer. Husband and wife run the place, they are there all the time, work hard, long hours to make a living. I would recommend to anyone looking for a family restaurant with authentic Chinese cuisine!“

Popo Noodles, with rice-wine braised pork belly is savory, soy-based comfort; egg noodles cooked to still-chewy perfection, dressed for flavor but still dry. Pickled Bamboo Shoots add-on, a must, to cut through the light meat fat.

“SUper solid, clean, friendly, great Soba. Went in randomly as many places were slammed. It's very new and clean and the staff is friendly. We shared some gyoza which were large and very tasty.

Two of us got Soba soup which had some of the best stock I've ever had in a restaurant. Full of noodles, veggies, and meat, I could eat about half and brought the rest home.
My friend got a rice bowl that looked great.

“I love this damn place! I am from LA County and just HAVE to stop here at some point whenever I visit. I usually get the shao mai, beef roll pancake, or the pork shrimp dumplings w/ chives. Recently tried the pan fried Shanghai dumplings and enjoyed them. That honey flavored grapefruit drink? Maaaaaan SO GOOD. I usually get two of those because they are just so tasty and refreshing.“
