“Pho Saigon City was a great experience. Parking was plentiful, and the staff was friendly and courteous. The pho came out promptly with a generous amount of garnishes—more than I usually get at other pho restaurants. I ordered extra rare steak and was pleased to receive a generous portion of that, too. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a good bowl of pho.“

“Hands down the kindest person of this era fed me! I was on my way home to Sacramento after my daily work shift in San Jose, hungry & tired, I decided to check out shihlin. On arrival the kind lady with a beautiful smile prepared the food quickly, it’s was delectable, the macros were great, the place was clean, I was accommodated with a yummy tea. I didn’t just leave full and satisfied…. I left this place with more happiness than I’ve experienced in the last 3 years of being an adult!!!“

“Definitely a gem. Had some delicious marinated steak and a Vietnamese coffee that tasted like it had more condensed milk than coffee. The steak sandwich was simple but so unbelievably delicious.

“I've been eating here for a while and finally got to leaving a review. The food made here is made with 1000% pure love. You can taste it in every bite and in how satisfied you leave after a meal. I absolutely LOVE their spam musubi, the small touch they add to it makes it so much better than any other place that serves spam musubi. Alongside that, their sushi, plates, and appetizers are all solid options that taste wonderful. The cherry on the top is the wonderful service and friendly faces along with clean environment. It felt like each dish tasted just about the same. The wontons and the spicy beef noddle tasted very similar in that the broth was the same. The dumpling and the beef weren’t season too much.

The pork knuckle rice was really good. I enjoyed that very much.“

“It's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall in a Dublin strip mall which isn't where I'd expect to find a tasty Hainanese Chicken Rice plate and yet its the kind of unasuming place (next to a Ranch 99) that I'd expect a yummy surprise.

It was the latter.

I haven't explored every corner of the Bay Area but it's been a long time since I've had a really satisfying chicken rice. Chicken skin has a really nice chewy texture to it. The fat is well rendered but the meat is just cooked. I'm a little surprised there aren't reviews complaining about undercooked chicken but its just as it should be. Rice was nicely seasoned. Quail eggs and peanuts on the side were a nice addition.

The soup was also a really pleasant surprise. It had a nice silky quality and rich with chicken flavor but they did a really good job of skimming any extra fat to keep it from being oily.

The ginger and scallion was good and traditional but a sweet soy or a chili sauce would have been welcome additions.“

“My dad went to pick up Chinese food at New Yong Kang, which is where we sometimes eat. We used to dine there years ago, but we normally do that for take out not. We probably just don’t have time to dine in since we have things to do.

It’s been a while since I last visited their restaurant. So I don’t know how it looks like now. I think it’s like other Chinese restaurants, but I’ll have to check it out if I get a chance.

Anyways, the food is good there. They gave us good portions which is enough for a family for at least 4. Some dishes are smaller than ones, which is why we don’t get too much of them. For the noodles, they separate them from other ingredients and we do have to mix them. I guess it’s to prevent spills when transporting the food back home or other destinations.

I’ll have to take a look at their menus and see what they have since I’m not that familiar with it. Again, it’s my parents that usually go there.“

“It was so much food. All of it tasted so good but you definitely should go with 2+ people they usually do not allow on person to dine alone , I got lucky. Enjoyed the little robot who brought out my plates too. Definitely bring your appetite.“
