“So I *think* this is the same restaurant listed as "Golden Bowl LLC" in Doordash (which I ordered from) - same address, and I saw an old Yelp picture of tofu skin salad with celery which looks like what I ordered. Everything came wrapped in plastic wrap, which I've never seen - it was plastic wrap, lid, then another layer of plastic wrap! I thought "Wow, they really go above and beyond to make sure there are no leaks and the food stays hot!" Um no. Turns out the round lids are a different size than the round bowls. I couldn't close them together. So I guess the restaurant figured this double plastic-wrapping would be the solution to bottoms and tops that don't fit together. Aside from this strange issue and the portions being smaller than other restaurants, the food was pretty good! We had a special $10 off promo from Doordash, so we got: - Griddle Cooked Shrimp - SO loves ganguo (griddle cooked/dry pot) so he really liked the flavors and was sucking every last drop from the shrimp heads - Tofu Skin Salad with Celery - this was ok, wish the tofu skin was thicker and softer - Hot & Spicy Chicken Wings - this was pretty good too! - Pork Pot Sticker - decent, prefer the potstickers from Apple Green Bistro - Shredded Pork with Garlic Sauce - really solid for fans of yu xiang rou si - Broccoli with Tofu - tasty sauce and fresh broccoli and tofu Worth a try!“
“This space is absolutely beautiful. The decor is warm and welcoming. The menu is beautiful and well thought out. It is by far the best menu I have seen. The texture. The rich color. The photos. The service was great, welcoming, knowledgeable, intuitive & frequent enough. The food was amazing. Beautiful presentation. Eye-rollijg flavor. Perfect portion size. Comfortably full. The prices were reasonable. We will be back!!!“
“I had a good lunch here today. This is a small hole in the wall that serves up good food. I remember coming here when they had a different name and if I remember correctly, this is an upgrade. The staff was attentive and courteous. I enjoyed the special match tea and the bento box. The salmon was fresh and like butter. I was not as big of a fan of the chicken katsu.“
“Tastes good at a decent price point. Eggplant and fish with pickled vegetables taste fantastic. One of my favorite Chinese restaurants. And they would actually honor your request to make food not spicy, unlike a lot of other restaurants.Dietary restrictions: They can make spicy dishes completely not spicy. Which is very important for people with capsaicin sensitivity like me.“
“Yum yum! I love this location so much, very convenient, and the quality of their fried chicken is so crunchy. it stays crunchy after a while. Easy access inside Ranch 99.I highly recommend this location over barber lane, it's hit or miss.“
“The food was very good. They were very generous on the side dishes.I also love their barley tea. We ordered the seafood pancake, spicy pork ribs, and the fried fish. It come with rice too. Everything was almost half gone and that's how good it was. I recommend coming here.“
“This is one of the hidden gems in bay area. I have had the most amazing thai food ever in the US. We went as a family of 7 with two kids. The staffs were really kind and the service was good. This place is also kids friendly and they customise the spice level. They have a separate vegetarian menu as well. Here’s our order :Saratoga Curry puffs - a unique starter in a thai restaurant and it was good.Roti - somes with a peanut sauce and lip smacking.Coconut milk soup - generous portion, shared by 6. The taste was top notch.Green curry and Thai panang curry - Absolutely delicious with lots of veggies and tofu.Spicy Thai basil fried rice - again, a tasty meal.Mango and sticky rice - the sticky rice was good, mango was not sweet.Overall, this is the best thai food I have had in the bay area. I would highly recommend this place as it’s family friendly as well.Vegetarian options: Veggies and Tofu“
“Went there for lunch with my parents who were visiting from Shanghai. We got the braised lotus, braised chicken legs, dumplings and turmeric chicken roll. My mum also specifically wanted the rice ball with pork and meat mooncake to see if it is authentic Shanghainese food. Everything tasted really good we really liked it. The lotus and chicken legs had a nice smoky flavor and the braised sauce went all the way into the food. It also has a little spicy to add the kick into it. Dumplings were also very good, with thin dumplings skin wrapping the juicy meat inside. The meat inside was surprisingly fresh and juicy. I wasn't sure what vegetable was in there but my parents liked it and said it tasted like the authentic ones. I will come back again. Tumeric chicken rolls were also really good. Chicken was tender and flavorful with the nice mixed scent of tumeric and Chinese wine. Meat was fresh and didn't taste dry at all!“
“This place has always been a favorite spot for lunch. Since covid, they no longer have indoor seating. That said, the Pinoy Breakfast A Pork Tosilog is a must-have. Always go for the double meat option for good measure. Don't forget to use the vinegar they include as it brings out the flavor of the pork and egg yolk!“
“We decided to try out this place on a whim and I'm so happy we did!We called in ahead of time and the entire order took less 15min. It was a Tuesday night, an hour before closing, and wasn't busy when we arrived. In fact, we were the only patrons. TAKE OUT ONLY - There are no tables inside the establishment, so don't expect a dine-in date night unless you intend to hang out in their back parking lot and eat in your car. One interesting benefit to this restaurant is that they offer you the choice to pick your vegetables! PORTIONS & PRICING - Portions are super generous! Pricing based on quality + quantity is very reasonable compared to other places across the Bay Area.SERVICE - Based on the interactions over the phone and upon pick-up, service was pretty standard. HOUSE PAD THAI ($14) - This was absolutely *chef's kiss* delicious! It was soooo flavorful, and the noodles were just perfect. Ingredients consisted of chicken (which were abundant in quantity and size), carrots, zucchini, bean sprouts, green onions, eggs, and tofu. For an additional fee you can choose other proteins. They even packed the chopped peanuts in a separate container which I really appreciated. TOM KHA SOUP ($16) - We ordered a large and the 32oz container was filled to the brim. This was also amazing! It was still piping hot when we got home and opened it. I almost burnt my lips because it was so hot. It came mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, zucchini, and onions. The flavors were very well balanced. PAD SEE EW ($14) - He ordered it with chicken and shrimp (+$2). I tried a little bit of it and I thought it was just ok. Nothing to write home about. He felt the same. Their standard ingredients consisted of eggs, onions, and carrots. The menu says it comes with broccoli too, but I don't recall seeing any in there.THAI MILK TEA ($5) - It was pretty good. It was sweet though. Like REALLY sweet, if you like that. I'm not sure if the sweetness level can be customized or if boba is offered for an additional fee as I didn't ask. If you're looking for a nice little hole-in-the-wall restaurant, this might be your spot! I'll definitely be coming back to try their other dishes.Don't forget to check-in for 20% off your order! :)“
“As a family member of a Cantonese, I have witnessed the rise and fall of Cantonese cuisine.I found this store and it said no MSG and no additives at the door, which is so important. The overall dish is not salty, light, does not rely on sugar to add flavor, and is recommended for clearing the palate.Constantly launching new products, delicious and recommended“
“This place is a hidden gem! We were actually going to the restaurant just next to it, but found this Japanese restaurant and decided to go in. The food was perfect, portion sized were good and they did not hold back on putting salmon in the dishes. We will definitely be back.“
“yummmm i love this. hai nam chicken is my comfort food. i ordered the original and it was bombb. i will say, if you're not a fan of eating foods that tend to be more plain, then it might not be for you.they come with a sweet and spicy flavored sauce, it's pretty good.in my opinion, rooster and rice is overlooked because it's located right next to ramen nagi and marugame, making it look hidden.but try it, it's yumm“
