Last I went to the market a few weeks ago (in August), a clerk said that Chestnut🌰 are seasonal, so I would have to come back in October. They are so, so good. I bide my time until October arrives.
My little one loves the roasted sweet potatoes, highly recommend it!
Soft, glutinous and sweet, the skin is thin and easy to peel, fried and sold freshly. I feel very lucky to be able to eat fried chestnuts with sugar in the Bay Area.
