I've been to Japan more than a dozen times since I have family there. I've also had ramen in Yokohama so I don't know where these 5 star reviews are coming from but yeah I don't think I'll be back. Some things to note:

1. The egg is just a regular, non-marinated, hard boiled egg.. it's not the ajitama egg.

2. Toppings like bamboo shoots and green onions are lacking.

3. Broth is overly salty.

4. In the middle of eating they gave us the receipt.. it's obviously an implication that they're rushing to get us out as fast as possible.. even though it took 40 minutes for the food to come to our table...and we just ordered 2 ramen.

5. Pork chashu is bland.. is it to contrast the excessively salty broth?

Please do better.

Authentic Japanese. They used to be in Union City. Ramen is all I order from here and the soup is always hot and fresh. Many varieties and options to choose from. Give them a try!

This is by far my favorite ramen spot. I'd almost given up on ramen restraunts altogether because most places just taste like modified top ramen. Then I decided to try Yokohama Ikei ramen. The noodles taste fresh and hand made to me. They're delightfully chewy. I love that there are different noodle thicknesses to choose from. As a spicy lover, I can say the spice levels are pretty serious. I go for B usually, as its enough to make me sweat, but not completely regret my decision later. I'd (qualitatively) place spicy B as habanero sauce level of spicy. The appetizers are awesome. Karrage and potato croquettes are nice and crispy outside, and croquettes are soft on the inside. Potato croquettes come out extremely hot.

Dietary restrictions: I don't think gluten-free is an option, though I wish it was.

My Japanese friend recommended this ramen shop to me, he said it is the same as the ramen in Japan.

The climate in Daly city is very foggy, which is perfect for eating ramen. The fried octopus legs and fried oyster are delicious. I think the octopus legs are made from their own fried powder, which is quite delicious. The octopus legs are not small octopus legs but the upper part of the octopus legs’s texture is great !

All ramen can be chosen as thick or light, the noodles should be soft or hard, the soup has a strong flavor, the noodles with good texture , and the house-made pork belly Chashu is very soft and delicious.

Parking at next gate , no need ticket , easy to walk down , no fee .

tasty. Very close to BART station, 5 minutes walk. But be aware that they won't accept you when they close, and they will lock the door in advance.

Listen, maybe I’m a white country bumpkin, but the classic and the black garlic were some of the best ramen I’ve ever had. Quick, cozy little place with surprisingly rich, deep flavor all around. I don’t ever leave reviews. Com here.

Had some really delicious black garlic tonkotsu ramen here. The broth was extremely flavourful and rich with an assortment of toppings. They have a unique spicy ramen options available and it can get really spicy. A level 2 feels like a Buldak Instant Ramen for comparison. Took about 10 minutes to get our orders placed. They could use another server.

Parking: Park in the parking garage a couple hundred feet up the street for free parking.

Very authentic Iekei experience down to the signage, music and water cups!

I see alot of people ordering different bowls but have to understand they specialize in Iekei style so adjust your expectations for the other bowls accordingly and enjoy what they specialize in!

Their Ieikei is most authentic in the bay with customized oil/soup and noodle hardness options. The soup was the best, rich just like that of japan and if you can read their Japanese sign, rice is also included on the side.

Had the fried rice as well and would say its the closest to the real cha-han. Portions great and could not finish. Coming back tonight!

First time trying ramen here and it was bomb! The spicy factor adds a little kick for spice lovers. I tried out the black garlic ramen with level A spice and it was just the perfect level!

Service was fast and efficient. Interior is modern, sleek and clean. Would definitely come back to try their other menu items!
