I'm from the South and can enjoy a good fast food burger. Must say that this is a great lil hidden gem. After a day on the boat, nice to swing by and grab a burger, fries and a ice cold soda! Only challenge here is getting in and out of A's. When PCH is backed up, that turn can take a some patience especially on the weekend. Otherwise, smooth sailing!

As a patron since 1987, I can say it is not quite as good as it used to be but still has decent burgers and fries. It is worth trying this Dana Point landmark. Parking is a nightmare with how the drive thru works sometimes blocking parking spots. The shopping area next door has parking, but that is another whole issue. Expect to deal with a hassle pulling out onto PCH.

I never visit Dana Point without including a visit to A's Burger.
Food was delicious! Was visiting San Clemente Beach from out of town and stopped in for lunch on our way back home. We were here at lunch time (about 12:30pm) on a Thursday & it was fairly busy inside but especially so in the drive thru! The portions are very generous & the food was really yummy! I got (house made) ranch dressing to dip my fried zucchini in. It was fantastic! A member of my party got a steak & egg burrito and he loved it so much he was sorry he doesn't live closer! The service was amazing! The staff was all very kind & polite. We'll definitely be back next year when we're back in this area!

OK, I’m here first time in the area. I see this restaurant stand out middle the shopping center talk to try. It went through drive-through. I ordered a hamburger combo which just came with a drink and french fries however I gave it two point because burger tastes OK but the biggest problem Seemed like the meat was pre-cooked and set aside until someone ordered it. It was overcooked all around the edges and cold it almost seemed like pre-cooked it set it of aside because they were closing. I guess I pulled up about 8,45pm and I just realized they close at 9 o’clock because when I took the meal and drove off and I realize how bad the hamburger was I tried to call numerous time that did not answer so I went online to see if there’s another number available and I know this thing close at mine so most likely my meat was pre-cooked and set aside that’s why it was dry burnt all around the edges. Hamburger, taste all right, but I was very disappointed. The presentation of the burger seem like I received an old piece of meat. Buns were soggy because they had extra sauce on it. I guess to cover the dryness of the meat french fries kind of lukewarm little overcooked other than that friendly service at the window, but I don’t think I would eat that again. $15 for A crappy hamburger should’ve gone to In-N-Out however, if I’m around town again, I think I’ll walk in and complain to the manager to replace my meal but unfortunately I live 60 miles away from this area and just happened to be there tonight which is Thursday, August 7, 2025

My family has been coming here for over 25 years! Great bean and cheese burritos! Perfect cheeseburgers, and if you have never tried the zucchini fries I feel sorry for you!! A’s is the place! Plus it’s walking distance from the beach baby!!!
