I recently stopped by Black Frog Coffee for a quick breakfast and left feeling utterly disappointed by their lackluster egg, sausage, and cheese sandwich. This sandwich was so basic and poorly executed that I couldn't help but wonder why I didn't just make it at home myself. What truly irked me, however, was the exorbitant price I paid for this subpar breakfast option. For the quality (or lack thereof) of the ingredients and the minimal effort put into creating this sandwich, the price was simply unjustifiable. I felt like I was being taken advantage of as a customer, paying a premium for what essentially amounted to a DIY breakfast sandwich kit. In conclusion, if you're looking for a satisfying breakfast experience, I would strongly recommend skipping Black Frog Coffee and making your own egg, sausage, and cheese sandwich at home. Not only will you save yourself a significant amount of money, but you'll also likely end up with a tastier and more satisfying meal. Cafe on the outer edge of downtown Davis. There is street parking nearby (free but with a 2 hour limit).This cafe is small and when we went it was quite hot and one of the lights in the kitchen was glitching which was a little distracting. But overall it's a good place to grab some coffee!They have some tables and people were sitting and working. We stayed for a bit. They also have a restroom.The staff was nice. Not much in the way of pastries. But they had a small menu of food. I didn't see anyone order anything so can't speak to it.

i showed up for power hour and got a drip coffee! it was good, the barista was really nice, and the general vibe of the place is chill. perfect for catching up with friends or studying

Chill coffee shop in Davis. Brought my own cup in and tried the vanilla cardamom latte, with the potato burrito. Both were delicious. The latte flavor was subtle and smooth. They burrito is a good size to share with a friend.
This is one of my fave places to get coffee in Davis. They offer a variety of drinks to choose from. I typically get the White Chocolate Raspberry or Salted Brown Sugar and both have a good balance of coffee and sweetness to them. Other places are too strong with their coffees, or way too sweet. Haven't tried anything else, but if I'm around the area and need a pick me up, I know for certain I'll be stopping by here. Also, the baristas have been very sweet. Only downside is that it is a small location, but I have never seen it packed. Good place to meet up with a friend or study for a short period of time.

Came in on a stormy day and was not disappointed by the delicious raspberry white mocha which tasted almost like a creamy pastry and caramel macchiato! The barista was super nice and thorough when taking our orders and recommended non-dairy alternatives for my lactose intolerant self. This place is perfect for studying, it was quiet and relaxing.

My caramel macchiato was .... Okay. It took them 20 minutes to make two drinks and it wasn't that busy inside mosy everyone who was sitting had clearly been inside for awhile. The service was good , the girl who served me was nice and answers any questions but the girl who handed me the drink was a bit rude and I didn't like the look she gave my partner and I when we asked how much longer after waiting for 15 minutes. the ambiance is fine and just a lot of students.

Loved the lavender mint latte. It was really good. Knocking out a star bc I tried to order online thru their direct website and the order was pending for a while and didn't go thru. So we ordered inside and the worker informed us to order thru google instead bc they will get the order right away thru google. You would think the order would go thru if ur ordering from their direct business website but I guess not. They need to change their website to include the google ordering.
The coffee is good and I love the atmosphere. I especially love the lavender mint latte. It is on the pricier end of coffee. Including tip expect to pay about $8. Did have to knock off a star for hidden fees when ordering online/in person.

Stumbled across this place because the reviews pointed to vegan! I got the good old fashioned potato burrito which was a great price for such a huge burrito (about $9). My partner modified said potato burrito and added salsa avocado. He enjoyed it so much he constantly tried to deviate our plans to stop by black frog for breakfast. We also ordered drink I believe I got a seasonal iced drink while he got a cold brew, both were great and we look forward to returning soon. Last comments, there is no longer an outside area for dog, so we had to take everything to go and there is no parking lot, the parking next to the building is for tenants near there.

We went today Sunday at 2:30 but the lady on the cashier with a short hair said to us in a weird manner we don't have food we are closed and suppose they close at 4 pm not 2:30 and I recommend that they give her some training in dealing with people.Not recommended.
