My wife and I had a wonderful dinner on a Saturday night. There was a 3 piece jazz band as well. We really enjoyed the evening.

Had a delicious meal while celebrating my cousin's 30th anniversary. The best salmon I've had in ages! The sides of potato and brussel sprouts were fabulous too. Here is my reason for four stars instead of five. My husband ordered the duck. He too enjoyed his meal. However, he found the portion size to be quite small. It would have been nice had they been a bit more generous. Otherwise, all were very happy.

Very friendly staff and food appears to be all homemade. Nice area to eat outside and great heaters. Coconut shrimp was lightly battered and fresh. Unlike most coconut shrimp the batter is just too thick. The steaks were cooked to perfection with great baked potatoes. The menu is considerable with May choices. A bit pricy for a University town but we’ll worth the visit.

I was looking for a good dinner place I could go with my cousin and his family. The D Street Steakhouse didn't disappoint us.I had the Steak Diane as did my wife, my cousin had the trout, his daughter had the Steak Diane, and my cousins wife had the filet mignon. We all loved our meals and the service was fantastic. Make sure you make a reservation.

Chef came to my table and yelled at me because I wanted a salad instead of a steak - apparently the on-line version of the menu says entree salads aren't available on Friday & Saturday nights. When I told him he was yelling at a customer and should walk away, he threw us out of the restaurant. It’s unfortunate that Chef elected to lose a ~$150 table over the $10 difference between a salad & fries and their least expensive entrée, not to mention future tables – I won’t eat there again.

This was a great dinner. My wife and I decided to try this Steakhouse for our anniversary. I made reservations, make sure you make them. The food was excellent. Service was just as good. I didn't get the name of our waiter but I remember he ware a hat and were very personable. I had the prime rib and my wife made an appetizer of the Coconut Shrimp her dinner, both were excellent. We will be going back for sure. Some people said on other reviews the prices were high, but for a Steakhouse I didn't think they were that bad.

The food was great, but for spending $300+ on dinner (for the 4 of us) I expected more on the customer service. They were “busy and short staffed”. Maybe next time don’t book so many reservations. We were celebrating a birthday and our server forgot about the birthday boy. It’s no big deal, just for a premium price on food I will need premium service from staff. Great food though.

Outdoor seating was wonderful along with the live music. Ordering was a bit challenging since our table was right in front of musicians. Food was good, ordered prime rib but it was overcooked. For the cost of our meal with 4 adults, felt it should have been much better. We ordered dessert to go and discovered we were given the wrong item.

Thats Not A Fact

Having lived in the area for near 18 years, I can rightly say this is the best restaurant in Davis. The steak is tender and flavorful. The service is excellent, the staff are amiable and courteous. I have not waited more than 30 minutes between first meeting the host and being served. If I had one piece of advice, order the pistachio creme brûlée. The combination of flavors pair beautifully.

Amazing place!! We sat on the porch. The staff was friendly, kind, and incredibly attentive. I think the band started playing early because we arrived so early and they were excellent too. I had prime rib, baked potato, and salad with Italian. Partner had rib eye, loaded baked potato, and Caesar salad. Everything was delicious!^above is my draft review I forgot to post from Feb 2020. Below is today, Sept 2021Both had prime rib. Excellent again. a bit more nutmeg than I prefer. Had the hassleback potatoes which stole the show! Mine was naked and didn't even need butter to be amazing. I tried basically everything on the table on it throughout the meal and most were delicious. Partner's hassleback was loaded and likewise blew his mind. We had the boulevardier (please forgive bad spelling) drinks which weren't my favorite solo but paired extremely well with the salad and other food. Staff was friendly and laid back. We sat inside but could still enjoy the band through the wall. Enjoyed the bread with garlic and oil appetizer, but not recommended for those who don't love garlic (yummy but strong)We'll be back again. Love it here ?

Customer service over the top, except for the guy who kept coming out like we were going to eat without paying. Steaks were tender and juicy. Flavor is in my top 5. Will definitely be eating here again

Excellent service and great food. Our party had steaks, salads and seafood; all of the dishes were outstanding. I would eat there every day if I lived in Davis.
