I rarely hop on anywhere to post a review but had to do so for this awesome restaurant. Came here for my son's 15th birthday. He loves a good steak. We started off with some escargot with their perfectly toasted French bread. Along with that we had the purée mash, brussel sprouts, sweet potato fries and the delicious Caesar salad. The croutons were so delicious, made in-house with cornbread. So unique yet the best I've had, wish they gave me more :) All this before the presentation of the tomahawk rib eye. Need I say more? Cooked to perfection with some marbleized au jus dressing on the side, watch the video, so good. Could have feed a family of 5 but it was just me, my son and daughter. Celebrating his birthday here was perfect, he was so happy with his dinner. The food and staff were amazing, the experience was unforgettable. They topped it off by singing happy birthday to him with some comp'd desserts for both kids and dessert wine for mama. We came on a Friday and they had a fantastic live smooth trio band playing which was a great surprise. Best to call and make reservations on the weekend, it's a cute quaint restaurant. We highly recommend this place, will return for sure. Thank you Monique for taking care of us.

I was also very frustrated trying to call for a reservation. I started calling on Wednesday, March 30 for a Saturday reservation and got the screeching modem sound. Assuming there was problem with their phone that would be fixed soon, I continued calling each evening. I finally drove to the restaurant on Friday to find a note on the door that they would be closed until Monday, April 4 with no explanation! I have never been to the restaurant and was looking forward to trying it. The LEAST they could have done was to have a working phone with a message that the restaurant was closed. Not sure if I will be willing to try again. Very tacky business decision.

The food and service has always been quite good the last two times we have gone. The prime rib and their alcohol mix drinks have always been well prepared . I was very disappointed on a Tuesday when wanting to make a reservation for Saturday night. Each time I attempted to call , there was no answer though their website said they were open. After about six rings , there would be a terrible screeching sound and no answer. After about three more attempts , came a message to the effect of the inbox being full etc. Finally gave up and booked another restaurant which had a prompt phone pick up and live helpful person. I can understand about phone glitches at times, but I did not have time to go by the place even when they are supposedly open , and redialing gets old very fast. Again, the food and service has been good in the past , and never a problem with calling until a week ago. I am inclined to give them a pass this one time for now , but if it happens again , oh well!

Great service! Have come her multiple times for special occasions. Can't go wrong with steak and the house red wine.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner on a Saturday night. There was a 3 piece jazz band as well. We really enjoyed the evening.

Had a delicious meal while celebrating my cousin's 30th anniversary. The best salmon I've had in ages! The sides of potato and brussel sprouts were fabulous too. Here is my reason for four stars instead of five. My husband ordered the duck. He too enjoyed his meal. However, he found the portion size to be quite small. It would have been nice had they been a bit more generous. Otherwise, all were very happy.

Sadly cannot recommend D Street anymore to friends and family. I had two great experiences here pre-pandemic, but this recent experience was terrible. First, I made a reservation for 4 people for 7:30 to celebrate my dad's birthday. We arrived a few minutes beforehand and when we walked in, no one greeted us. Worker after worker walked by, including the bartender, with no acknowledgement, as if we were invisible. They all saw us and looked away. After waiting 5 minutes, the hostess said our table is not ready yet and had us sit at the bar. The cranky bartender did not once even acknowledge our presence or ask if we wanted to order a drink. Then some customers who walked in after us were seated before us. Once we were seated, the "Open" sign was flashing blue and red strobe lights in our faces, as if we were at some low class dive bar. Enough was enough and we left before entertaining further issues from this place. For the high $50 a person price point, it is absolutely not worth the rude staff. I felt invisible and was ashamed to try to take my dad here for his birthday.

Very friendly staff and food appears to be all homemade. Nice area to eat outside and great heaters. Coconut shrimp was lightly battered and fresh. Unlike most coconut shrimp the batter is just too thick. The steaks were cooked to perfection with great baked potatoes. The menu is considerable with May choices. A bit pricy for a University town but we’ll worth the visit.

My family and I came here to celebrate and were so impressed with our server, Monique. She was fun, knowledgeable, and incredibly hospitable. The food was so so good too! We had the shrimp and olive oil dip to start - delicious! For my entree I had the duck and it was so so so good. 100/10 recommend!

The D Street Steakhouse didn't disappoint us. Amazing place!! We sat on the porch. The staff was friendly, kind, and incredibly attentive. I think the band started playing early because we arrived so early and they were excellent too. I had prime rib, baked potato, and salad with Italian. Partner had rib eye, loaded baked potato, and Caesar salad. Everything was delicious! Will come again!

Mixed feelings, as I've eaten here before and it was a marvelous experience. We were a party of five. Two wanted the burgers...it appears they have done away with the burgers. The two decided to go with ribs and asked if they were baby back...they were informed they were. They were not. The ribs were ok, but nothing to write home about...in case you were going to write home. We surmised that the server did not understand the diff between pork and beef ribs. This is not said to disrespect our wait-staff, just stating what we believed to be true. All the entrees were approaching the $40+ range. The 17 y.o. had the Duck. He said it was good, but I thought the amount quite small. He finished his Mother's ribs. I had the New York. It was fair. Not $40 fair. I would not order it again. Friend #5 had the Porterhouse and said it was fine. The salads, as one reviewer mentioned was frisbee. I had one crouton and one tiny morsel of tomato. We all recalled that the last salads we had, when they served the burgers, were quite tasty. The baked potatoes were very good. Crunchy on the outside, flakey and warm with fillings. With the mandatory 20% tip our bill came close to $300.00 I realize this is the time of plague, food has sky rocketed, employees are difficult to find and keep, but when I spurge on a meal, and for me this was a spurge, I expect more. The service was good, except for the rib miscommunication, but the cuisine needs to improve for us to return.

Excellent restaurant! Why isn't it a 5 star? Mike our server was fabulous and makes a mean martini! Our entrees, Surf & Turf and the Salmon entree were perfection, as were the desserts.
