“This humble little food truck in the Chevron parking lot was my lifeline throughout college. Whether it was lunch, dinner, or a post-workout meal, it never failed to deliver. The food is consistently amazing—flavorful, satisfying, and always hits the spot.
Extras: Good for small groups or solo diners, plenty of parking, takeout only, quick service, counter ordering, hidden gem“

“Love the variety! My favorite restaurant here is definitely the crepes place. I always order the nutella banana one! Otherwise, I go to spokes and get a regular cheeseburger, which is alright. I do like the Peet's coffee here, but I much prefer the one at the ARC since my order has been messed up a couple times.“

“Despite being in a tiny food truck right next to the Silo bus hub, Shah's Halal Food punches miles above its weight in terms of food, service speed, and convenience for a regular student like me. Yes, theres other places on campus, but none are THIS good and THIS close to where I actually have stuff happening on a regular day. All the Gyros ive tried from this place have been well worth their price; having amazing food within a few minutes of walking is priceless to me.
Try it if you ever swing by the Silo, they'll have amazing food even if the UC Davis-provided seating isnt the best in the world. 9.5/10 would absolutely recommend (though you shouldn't sit on the concrete seats too long, ill admit.)
Dietary restrictions: It's got it in the name; No pork, compliant with what most Muslims are allowed to eat, and pretty tasty too!“
“We stumbled upon this lovely truck. We tried the Mario and the #4 (caramelized onion and cheese) and they were honestly amazing. The pies are a little pricey but you can tell that is because of the quality of their ingredients. They are very worth it! If they could provide some chimichurri sauce, that would be heaven!“

“The server could only speak ?️ Spanish so using my iPhone ? translate app, I was able to order correctly as well as, decipher as to what kind of meat was on the tostada. The downside from this Food Truck establishment was that I had to build out my own tostada onto a pre-packaged hard tortilla. Let’s all hope that the crab meat was cooked because I wasn’t expecting cold shredded crab ? meat!
On a side note: the napkins provided are too small and don’t provide enough surface area to prevent food spillage from soaking into the customer’s shirt!???“
“Great spot for ceviche, mussels and the pastor burrito is amazing. Highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area.“

“These are some of the best tacos in the area! The flavor really just comes out in the meat. The radish and carrots they give with their tacos and the cilantro in the tacos are fresh, adding to the taste. The tortillas have a nice crunch to them.“

“I have literally tried every meat there and I liked all of them and loved some of them over others. Staff is super friendly and HELLA cool! The burritos are amazing!!! Their tacos and salsa are amazing!!! My favorite meats are tripas, extra crispy, cabeza, chorizo, al pastor of course, which is their number one and authentic with the trompo (spit fire), and their salsa is also amazing!!! Number one spot!!! 7 stars!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️“

“I tried the beef lamb plate and was not disappointed. The food tasted fresh and the flavor was definitely there. I think it would have really knocked it out of the park if there was some cut tomatoes and red onion, maybe. Otherwise, the sauce was great.
I got spicy on the side because I shared with my kids. I also bought a side of fries and was happy with the portion - more than enough for my two kids to share and me to pick off of.
Next time I’d love to try the dolma and baklava!“
