Teriyaki chicken & tempura bento box was affordable and excellent! Also had the zigzag hand roll which I liked. My brother enjoyed his curry katsu special. Our server was very polite and attentive. The food came out on a robot we are def in 2024! Will be coming back here.

I absolutely love this place. It is my go-to for sushi in Davis. If you enjoy raw fish, Huku is the better option. Most other sushi restaurants mainly serve rolls, so often times their nigiri and sashimi is not as fresh as it should be.First, everything is delicious and well prepared. I enjoy sashimi and nigiri and their seafood has always been fresh. I always get their saba, uni, and hotate. Also, their amaebi is great! The head is not fried and caked with flour to the point that it just tastes like oil and grease. Instead if is the perfect amount of crisp so that you may eat the eat like a chip. The tail is savory and creamy. Definitely give it a try if you enjoy shrimp.I am not usually a fan of bento boxes with teriyaki, but Huku does it right. For most places, the sauce is overwhelmingly sweet and thick. Huku has a more subtle flavor so that you still actually taste the natural flavor of the meat.I am not big on rolls so I will not review their rolls. However, of the ones I have tried, they have been good.As for the service and atmosphere, 5 stars all around. They are attentive to the customer's needs but also don't check in too often where it feels like your dinner table conversations are being interrupted all the time.

From this foodie, I would definitely do it again.Service was stellar. The atmosphere was delightful. The food was outstanding!!I had the nigiri and sushi combo, not a single piece disappointed! Phenomenal! While the price may come to have spme double take the bill, this one considers you aren't paying for just food, this was art in the making, edible art at that. ??. Thank you to all the lovely staff there.

Great option on the way to / from Tahoe / SF Bay Area. Decent freshness food (we had several nigiri types, amaebi, ankimo, some rolls), nice ambience, fast kitchen service, has space even during busy hours.Parking: Parking could be busy but spots are always available

The best sushi I've ever had, and the prices are very reasonable. Temptation, Tsunami, and Christmas rolls are my go to.

We got sashimi and hand rolls coming back from Tahoe on the road. I was very happy with the taste and quality of the food. The host in the entrance was very nice and friendly to us.

The spicy scallop hand role tasted like kimchi spice. I asked the server if this restaurant is Korean owned. She said yes. I love Korean food but not mixed with Japanese sushi. The sashimi slices were approximately 3/4” thick. Could slice it thinner for a better texture and get more slices as well. Soft shell crab roll was good aka spider roll. - Makoa, Kaikua’ana MC

Very very nice place! Plenty of parkings available since it's a big plaza. Fast service with robots bringing dishes. Cozy spacious atmosphere. So fresh seafood with beach around level. The oysters were delicious. We even didn't speak much being busy by eating all those yummy things. And dishes were decorated so beautiful. With greens, flowers, reddish spirals, etc. This Sunday dinner for 4 cost us about $200 and no regrets. Will go there again!!!

Huku is located off to the side in a semi-big plaza. Parking may be hit or miss on this side of the plaza. The interior looks modern and trendy, while the exterior looks simple. Service was okay, nothing spectacular or anything. It was kind of expensive for what it is, especially for the quality of fish and food. I ordered my usual - the sake maki and sake nigiri, and I added a kani nigiri. My cousin ordered a sushi roll and some type of udon (I forgot what she ordered) and then we ordered an appetizer to share - calamari rings. The salmon roll and nigiri was alright, it was not the freshest. The kani nigiri was not good at all, it tasted a bit off with a rubbery taste to it. My cousin thought her food was just okay. We both enjoyed the the deep fried squid, but ended up feeling sick afterwards because of how battered, greasy, and oily it was (and probably from the fishiness and lack of quality of the fish as well).
