Stopped on our way through from Lake Tahoe to San Francisco. What a delicious lunch our family had !! Something for everyone even 2year old grandson ! We’re from Australia and this Mediterranean cuisine ranks up there with the best. Thanks so much for the complimentary baklava too !!

This is the BEST Mediterranean food around, and Sam and his children have created an atmosphere in which everyone feels like family. Food is prepared fresh and quickly and is absolutely AMAZING.

Sam's Mediterranean Cuisine is a favorite spot in downtown Davis with a homey feel and top tier customer service. The food features great fresh ingredients and hearty portions, with huge portion sizes that are fresh and amazing. The beef shawarma pita is so delicious with so much meat, and the chicken plate is a good choice, though you cannot really go wrong with anything. The chicken & rice combo is decent and authentic, with chicken cooked on a gyro machine. The best falafel and baklava are available, with the baklava given complimentary. The service is friendly and welcoming, with fast service and a cute ambiance inside. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a touch of cultural charm in a really good part of town. The kitchen can be a scene of chaos and drama during a busy late lunch, but the love and care in the food preparation is clear.
