The food is good and the price is mid range, which makes sense for a student town. The fries were rather stale but ok. But my biggest complain is that the owner should invest a bit to make the restaurant more appealing. I truly lacks a bit of hygiene. The sun umbrellas outside are not all working or half working. The AC outside is dripping. The whole place could use a new layer of paint. Just overall it didn't make me feel comfortable eating there. And if the outside looks...

It’s a decent spot, and the food tastes authentic. My friend and I had the chicken & rice combo. The chicken is cooked on a gyro machine, so the flavor and texture are a bit different from the typical “food cart” style chicken & rice — but it was still tasty.

The accompanying salad felt a bit rushed, with the veggies chopped into big, uneven pieces - wish they were cut into small pieces. That said, the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere...

We stopped at Sam's for a late lunch on our way from Truckee to San Francisco. The portion sizes were huge, and the food was fresh and amazing! It was clear that love and care went into its preparation. Literally the best falafel and baklava I have ever had, and I have lived in the Middle East. My husband had shawarma, and he said it was equally awesome. The service was friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend!!
