Food is very.... Homemade? It's taste similar to when my mother makes a stirfry from left overs. The vegetables is still on the raw side, the meat is relatively well seasoned. It's not exactly americanized Chinese take out but it's also not exactly authentic.
This is THE BEST restaurant in Davis. The food is consistently always delicious and is clearly made with great care and skill. The food from Shanghai Town never disappoints and gives me that feeling you get when you’re eating something you grew up with, something from home. I think the food its pretty good but they have to compete with others. Their competitors are offering much cheaper prices with good quality. I think if they reduce their prices a little bit and work on the Decor and design of their restaurant they can be very successful
