Its usually pretty empty so the service is very fast. The food is very good with amazing portions, and the price very very reasonable. I come back often

This restaurant placed a plastic sauce bag directly inside my food container, touching the hot meat and rice. This shows a lack of even basic food hygiene awareness.
When I called to raise this concern, there was not a single apology, and the staff hung up on me.
Ignoring basic hygiene and treating customers this way is unacceptable.
If you’re looking for unhygienic food handling and rude, arrogant customer service, this is the place.

Once upon a time, this neighborhood was a culinary desert where college students survived on instant noodles and existential dread. Fast-forward a decade, and behold — a place that actually serves edible food. Miracles do happen.
The food? Pretty solid for the price. Not Michelin, but at least your wallet won’t file for bankruptcy. The servers are friendly — suspiciously so — as if they’re hiding the fact that the ice machine’s broken again. The vibe is chill, probably because everyone’s too full or too broke to move fast. The crowd’s a mix of college students avoiding adulthood and the occasional family pretending they’re “trying something local.”
Overall: good bang for your buck, especially if your definition of “bang” includes carbs, comfort, and the faint scent of procrastination.

Bad customer service
It's probably the best Chinese food in Davis. Not a bad thing on the menu, and everything is always made to order. Staff is friendly. The only thing is is it super quiet inside.
RESTROOM. Asked for the restroom code and was told it's locked and was directed to the porta potty in the parking lot across the street. The porta potty was filthy and it didn't have anywhere to wash your hands. I was delivering for door dash so idk if the costumers dining in are also directed to the porta potty.Im helping you guys make money and I don't think the customer appreciates their delivery driver not being able to wash their hands.

Visited on a Friday night. Not busy. I ordered the Crispy pork belly rice plate 脆皮烧肉饭 and Green Bean with garlic sauce 蒜茸四季豆. It totaled to about $22.
The food was better than average. The portions are sizeable; with the two dishes I ordered, it could easily feed two.
The green beans with garlic sauce was pretty good. I can see why a restaurant like this would/is doing well in a college town like Davis.
The service was direct and no nonsense. If you order a plate, it comes with a drink. They're happy to get you anything if you get their attention.
The atmosphere is pretty standard for a Chinese restaurant; the decor is the same, they have a TV playing dramas, etc. The only thing I have to bring into question is their cleanliness. The silverware I had received was visibly dirty... Staff was happy to replace it of course.
Would I come back here to eat again?
Probably not. Despite the food being reasonably priced, portions large, and the food tasting decent, for Chinese food, I wasn't blown away enough to want to come back. (And of course, the cleanliness factor plays a huge part... makes me think what ISN'T clean that we can't see...)
3 out of 5 rice plates.
