Just a lovely little place with exceptional snackies. I'm obsessed with their scones. So moist and they'll warm them up if you ask. A large matcha latte with alternative milk options and quite a few syrups to accompany. But the best part? Their cold case filled with the most delicious and delicate tarts, sponge cakes and cheesecakes. There's another bakery in town but honestly when it comes to flavor, upper crust is my favorite, *chef's kiss*

I really didn't expect much when I requested to add fruit to my cheesecake order, maybe a few strawberries cut up and placed on top. What the team here at Upper Crust Baking did for this birthday astonished me and my significant other with how everything was presented. Even the person who rung me up was amazed with what was decorated on the cheesecake. Whomever decorated this deserves high praise, this can't be overstated.
And of course the cheesecake was delicious.

Love having such a good local bakery! Highlights for us include the sarmentine baguettes, everything bagels, dinner rolls, babka, mousse, and cheesecake. Patisserie is also delicious and their pizza night on Wednesdays is not to be missed. SO good!

sketchy area (for davis). the road and driveway are in horrible condition. $13 for a loaf of sourdough bread is fiscally unsound when you can purchase 4 loaves of dave's killer bread at costco for the same price. who remembers when bread was 10 cents? 😆

My wife and I think the Winters location is a very fine establishment. Loved the maple bar and my sandwich was excellent, although it took very long to get to me. I thought maybe my order was lost. Frozen yogurt was also very good and wide selection of toppings is excellent. Lorin is smart to include frozen yogurt as part of his bakery’s offerings, which I’ve never seen before at a bakery , but fills a need in Winters, particularly since the high school is so close and I’d expect yogurt is a big seller to that cohort. Ambiance is excellent. Signage is detailed, comprehensive and excellent. Variety and appearance of bakery goods is excellent. Cleanliness is excellent. Walkways leading to entry doors could use a pressure wash to clean up gum and other stained dirt.
I needed one final touch to my brunch preparation for an impirtant meeting, and the staff hooked me up with the perfect flavor accent: the classic croissants.

This place just keeps getting better. One of the original bakeries in Davis, it has grown from making predominantly bread to all kinds of pastries, pizza, and more. The lemon ginger muffins are to die for! They have great coffee and outdoor seating. Only the nicest people work there! Absolutely don’t miss Wednesday night— Pizza night! The crust is perfection. Absolute perfection! You ordered it in advance and then come at your requested pick up time. You can take it home, which is what most people do, or even eat it there on one of the many outdoor tables. I recently checked out the Winter’s location. Cute little place with delicious sandwiches and of course, all the pastries and breads. Oh, and did I mention cakes? Chef’s kiss! 💋

Exhausting, disoriented people who seem like they’re incapable of processing multiple thoughts. Prices are not consistently labeled and even then are not reflective of what set the register shows. Staff are sloppy and day as if they were high.
