My family and i went here for late lunch. The stuff prefer to gossip over helping customers. I cant say I blame them, the place is so empty you, but after eating, I could understand why they were so empty. The chicken dumplings were odd, they were flavorless and one of the bunch was completely different from the others and filled with cilantro when the others weren't. We didn't ask what was in the dumplings, so that may have been our fault.Do not the get chow mein-- it is dry and flavorless. It tastes as if it was microwaved. The other main dishes we ordered (roasted duck, jelly fish) were underwhelming average or below average. The tea is amazing, it's not too sweet. The blue tea is butterfly pea tea paired with a slice of lemon so it tastes like lemon water-- be warned, as butterfly pea tea takes the place of what's mixed with (so in this case, nothing.) The passion fruit tea is good. The desserts were good, flavorful and authentic, but I digress. This restaurant is nothing amazing, the food is nothing amazing, and the service quality is decent. I personally wouldn't come back here or recommend it to anyone.

Some of the food was cold in the middle. We were the first customer of the day. Really nice to have some dim sum right in Davis. However, I believe the need to not served food that was refrigerated and not seemed

Stupid service and stupid hidden fees of 15% on service charge. Food is overpriced and quality is poor. Don't waste your money.

Greasy and not well done… the spicy orange chicken was ghastly and had this awful soapy flavor to it. It ended up giving me food poisoning the day after. It was definitely not worth $17.The only thing that I liked was the lotus leaf sticky rice… but it was still very greasy and made me feel sick after

HAVE AGAIN: Steamed BBQ pork buns were excellent, Lotus Leaf Sticky Rice very good, shrimp dumplings good, Green Onion Pan Cake goodNOT HAVE AGAIN: Steamed Custard Buns were ok, not to my liking but others in my party really like them. Deep fry Pork Dumping were just ok.

Ordered frog congee, Fujian fried rice and bay fung tong rice noodles. The frog congee wasn't good because it was too watery and bland, and the meat of the frog wasn't tender. Fujian fried rice was flavorful, will definitely give it a thumb up. Bay fung tong rice noodles wasn't what I expected. It was spicy but the spicy sauce that they used tasted like lao gan ma.

Fun food taste pretty good especially for the price. Service is horrible though. Staff spends more time gossiping with each other instead of taking care of the customers. Very boring atmosphere but I would go back again.

I used to be a frequent visitor of the City of Davis, as my brother went to the UC there. Back then, it was a sleepy cow town. The only Chinese restaurant was run by a guy named Joe and the chef was actually an UC employee. Fast forward to today, the city has transformed itself into a little big city with many Chinese food options.Well Season is a full-service dim sum restaurant conveniently located near the Hwy 80 Richards Blvd exit. My family and I came here for dim sum on 05/13/2023.It was pretty busy when we walked in just after 12:30pm. We were immediately seated by the staff. The interior was bright and clean. Several TVs were showing different food programs. There was a live fish tank near the back of the restaurant.Tea was brought to us quickly. There was no cart service. Ordering was done by marking items on a laminated menu. The selection was pretty vast. We ended up getting a dozen items or so. The food came out pretty quick. Judging from shapes of the dim sum, it appeared these were made in-house and not purchased from a third-party factory. Overall, the quality and taste were decent. It reminded me of dim sum in SF Chinatown in the 80s. The only thing I didn't like was some of items were lukewarm instead of hot.Service we received was good. The staff was friendly and refilled our tea a couple of times. As long as you don't expect a fancy dim sum experience here, this place will do, especially if you don't want to drive to Sacramento or Elk Grove. We will return. 3.5 stars rounding up to 4.BONUS MATERIAL:- Major credit cards accepted.- Ample parking on site.

Well Season is currently completing for top Chinese restaurant in Davis for me. It's the only one I'll get delivery from. It's not the best Chinese food I've had but the bar is kind of low for Davis and I keep coming back here when I'm craving dim sum.Tons of options. I usually go for the fried shrimp balls, pork belly, and beef chow fun. Once I was feeling extravagant and got the half duck. Vegetables and other dim sum items have been good too. I've been happy with everything I've ordered from here. Always good flavor, never dry, makes good leftovers.

Went there today and they were mopping the floors with Clorox. We asked Ming, the guy from the front if we could sit away from mopping area, but he said that they will be mopping the entire restaurant. I told him that this is not acceptable to mop your dirty floors with Clorox while serving people with food on which he reacted with very rude attitude that if we didn’t like it then we should leave and come some other time. Never coming back again and really hoping the restaurant manager see this post

The menu is huge, both in physical size and quantity of options. There are quite a number of things that I can't eat, such as shrimp and pork, but even so, there was a wide variety of items that sounded delicious. So many items, so little stomach. A decision was aided by photos of many of the entrees on the menu. I dined with a friend, so we split two entrees. The portion sizes were large, and the food was delicious. There was enough food for both of us to bring home leftovers.I look forward to returning and trying other options on the extensive menu. They do not offer "lunch specials," so convincing my husband to try it will be a challenge, but I think he will enjoy the food too.
