One of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever been to! The food had amazing flavor and texture, the ambiance of the room and vibes were so chill, and the service was so friendly and helpful!! Highly recommend for people looking for a sit down meal in Davis.
I’ve been coming here for a long time and I was surprised the ramen didn’t include an egg, since most ramen I’ve had — especially in SF Japantown — comes with one. I understand toppings can be optional, but charging $2 extra for a plain boiled egg felt disappointing. A seasoned ramen egg would have added flavor and made the bowl feel more complete for the price. The ramen itself was good, but this part of the experience stood out. My favorite was the spicy mentai-men (a la mentaiko pasta). The seafood butter sauce was so flavorful, the noodles perfectly al dente.
Pork chop pepper curry rice was delightfully curry, nicely crisp fried pork chop (nicely fatty).
