Great evening at Beeside with highlights in food & service -- plus a happy learning that Wednesday is half price wine night (yay)! Our faves were the Barramundi and the Osso Bucco alongside a fantastic Oregon Pinot Noir. We were truly appreciative of our server who took a food allergy very seriously, ensuring that our friend was both safe and delighted!

Great lunch and lovely views at Beehive Del Mar! Wonderful service and I appreciated the patience given to my 90 year old mother by our server. Neighborhood gem and would definitely recommend and will return.

Beautiful location and the service was beyond exceptional! Little bit noisy and hard to hear at a table for 6 but still awesome!

Warm and inviting our this is our go to spot! Food is always delicious and you can't beat the views the service is excellent! Highly recommend!

I celebrated my birthday at Beeside Balcony in Del Mar, and it was such a lovely experience. The food was delicious—I had the fish with garlic mashed potatoes, and it was perfectly cooked and flavorful. When I arrived, there was a birthday card in an envelope waiting for me on the table, which was such a thoughtful touch. After dinner, they brought out ice cream with a candle (no singing, which was fine by me) to make the celebration even sweeter. There was a slight view of the ocean from our table, adding to the charm of the evening. The staff and our waitress were wonderful—friendly, attentive, and professional. They made sure our water glasses were always full and checked in often to see if we needed anything. The only thing I would change is that I should have asked to have the blind pulled down, as the sun was in my eyes the whole time. Overall, it was a great birthday dinner in a cozy setting, and I'd definitely come back again

Incredible food and atmosphere on the patio with ocean / sunset views for certain tables. Crab cake for appetizer, lamb for main and churros for dessert which were a surprise must. Service from Christina and whole staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. No liquor license but plenty of great other options. Would highly recommend this location for dinner especially!

A happy place. Good service, simple foods. We like to share, so we ordered the crab cake, Argula Beet Salad and the Salmon with cauliflower rice with flavors. So good. A bottle of wine. Perfect. Service was quick. Everyone there looked happy. Sat at a perfect table by the edge of the window on the roof top. It was not that very cold & they still put the heater lamps on. It was so comfortable. We will be back! Thank you Beeside Balcony Restaurant.

I would say that I've eaten here several times and the food I get has always been good. However, my husband's beef filet wasn't that good (he said) and my sister-in-laws pesto was bland. My brother-in-laws food was good. The s'mores dessert wasn't great. And the churro, while very good, was undercooked in a few spots (still runny batter inside). We very much enjoyed the salads and bread/3 dips/vegetables. I'd say it was definitely an off night as I've always had consistently good food.

Birthday celebration for my husband. Octopus ceviche for starters was delicious, scallops were melt-in-your-mouth and the shrimp pesto linguine was full of flavor. We ate every bite! The meal was so good we were left wondering why it's been so long since we've been here. That's going to change!

Celebrated my birthday at this lovely restaurant on Sunday :) Although late seating despite our reservation, we still felt welcomed. The staff was great w/ accommodating dogs on the patio. Service was wonderful. Plenty food & drink options. You also can't beat the view & weather at this location. I would definitely visit this location again.

Before the good points; the Denver steak was literally the toughest, chewiest piece of meat I have ever had in my 50+ years of life. The cheapest cut of meat from wherever you could imagine could not have out done how embarrassed I felt for them, serving this steak. When the kind waitress asked how was our meal, I said to myself, practice humility and let my wife respond regarding her fish but stay silent regarding the steak. It didn't matter that this steak was part of their 3 course special; someone there should be sample tasting before bringing this out to customers. The rest of the experience, ambiance (5) , waitress (5) service and food (3 overall) ranged from satisfactory to good; just stay away from their steak.

Good food with good service, a little loud on balcony, street noise. Takes San Diego restaurant card which makes good value.

I have been here once before and had a good experience. Unfortunately this time it was different. We were seated quickly and had drinks served quickly which was a good start. The service was lacking from there on. We ordered the 3 course dinner and decided on the Cioppino. This was lacking almost all flavor and the seafood was sparse and over cooked. We kept waiting for our waitress to come by and ask us how we liked it because we wanted salt and pepper. Had to get up from table to find her. Then while we were half way through our Cioppino the servers came out with our entrees and wanted to put them on the table without asking if we were done with our first course. The timing was very rushed and really interrupted our first course. Then we had the sea bass entree which was cooked nicely topped with a chopped salsa but there was nothing else served with it and it was lacking interest in taste and presentation. The desserts were the highlight. Delicious and beautiful presentation. It would be nice to have consistent quality throughout for this price point!
