I love this restaurant!! I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl, I’ve had many birthdays here and so many other celebrations! The food is phenomenal and the service is always great!! I love the atmosphere it’s so nostalgic for me!! Highly recommend their shredded beef burritos! Their rice and beans are amazing too!

Went there with some friends for lunch and had a very authentic Mexican platter. Great service and a beer of course. Highly recommend this place for its authenticity

OMG! WE COME FROM BANNING CALIFORNIA JUST TO EAT HERE. IN OUR OPINION THIS IS THE BEST.

Love this place. They treat you like family when you eat here. The prices are fair and the service is amazing. I highly recommend the enchiladas.

Disappointing experience – would not recommend

We arrived at the restaurant around 9 PM and were welcomed by a waitress who assured us the kitchen was still open. We sat down, ordered two beers, and began to enjoy them. However, a few minutes later, the same waitress came back to inform us that the kitchen was actually closed and that our only options were two seafood dishes: shrimp cocktail or ceviche.

We agreed and ordered one of each, but she brought two shrimp cocktails instead. Unfortunately, the dish was absolutely inedible – the shrimp still had the black intestinal vein, and the flavor was off-putting, to say the least.

Despite the poor quality of the food and the mistake in our order, we were still charged the full amount – over $60 for two beers and two bowls of unpleasant shrimp in watery broth. No discount, no apology, nothing.

Very disappointing service and food. Definitely not going back.

We’ve eaten here before and had great veggie burritos. Tonight was terrible. The veggies were raw in a cold burrito. We sent them back and they heated them in the microwave. My wife then found a piece of metal in her food maybe from a Brillo pad. We’re not coming back

Some of these bad reviews are simply Bogus… Not True. I’ve been eating here for 25 years… Fernando and his staff have always taken great care of us.

I hadn’t been in this restaurant for meny years since 4 years maybe more , my Sis and I decided to go , we ordered I plate to share because we are trying to lose weight and why not my sis wasn’t that hungry 🤤 so my point was they served us like a child plate, I was like Wow they just made fun of us is this a joke . I didn’t even tip her for being rude . They should have served us like they serve the plate portion…..This was very mean … I will not return here …. I mean it too .

Not bad fod for a quick drop in was pleasently surprised

This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant in Coachella Valley. Unfortunately the owner passed away, the family closed the business and has now reopened. I was thoroughly disappointed. The food is not anything like it used to be! Sadly I will not be returning to this establishment.

I just ate here today and after 10 years of vacationing in Desert Hot Springs, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious and I can't even stop talking about it. I was worried once they reopened it wouldn't be the same, but damm was I wrong! Amazing authentic food with amazing service. I am always coming here when visiting. You must eat here, you won't regret it!!! I'm so happy they reopened and I wish them the best always!
