I don’t agree with the love for the Date Shake here. It was okay, mainly tasted like ice cream. Do not like the use of polystyrene cups, there are many more environmentally friendly options that could be used as an alternative. The cat was cute, and the back garden was nice to sit in.

So good!! My husband grew up in a palm Springs and we have been enjoying date shakes for 40 years together and have tried them all. The date shakes here are the real deal. They are the only one that uses real dates and ice cream. Not date flakes or ice milk. The pastrami sandwich is so good also and enjoy the peaceful patio. If you see the bus there come back later. It’s a small family store and can get busy

We went for the date shakes. Excellent! Ended up buying eggs, red and green peppers, too. Nice market with excellent date shakes, and ice cream. Other deli food, daily specials available. If you blink, you might miss it. There is a patio in the back. It was windy the day we were there, so did not go back there. Limited parking out front.

The best date shake ever. They still do it the right way. We tried them when Shields Date farm went commercial and make their date shakes in soft serve machines. Just not the same. Windmill Market has been doing it right for 20 years. Loved the vibe in market and backyard eating area. We'll be back and we'll spread the word about this little treasure.

If you blink you'll miss it! My husband and I recently moved to Banning from Los Angeles, and we came across this gem on one of our dates to the Windmill Farm in Palm Springs. This quaint, little place has the best lasagna! You can tell it's authentic with one bite. The owner/chef puts so much love and time into preparing lunch for his guests. He makes you feel right at home with an outdoor seating area that reminds you of sitting in a little backyard with a nostalgic ambiance that relaxes you for good conversation. The employees at the front counter offer great customer service, the prices are reasonable, and the date shakes are the absolute best! We'll definitely return.

Love this place A motorcycle ride to North Palm Springs a stop at Windmill for bomb chili dog and a date shake. Go out the back door to the little private sanctuary with plants and tables very intimate. A great place to stop for quick respite.

We absolutely love this place. The food is beyond great and the milk shakes, oh my my! The tacos are excellent! The daily specials are phenomenal! And the staff is really nice. We were in Palm Springs for 3 weeks and went there at least every other day.

Date Shakes and Malts are a local delicacy you must have. I’ve always enjoyed malts (while my friends liked ice cream more) but this is a unique flavor. We have had a timeshare here for over 20 years, and each time we come we stop by the Windmill for their date shake. RICH, FLAVORFUL, LOTS OF DATES AT THE BOTTOM. Don’t miss this. There are not too many things in the desert that most tourists have not seen before, but THIS IS ONE OF THEM. A lot of them are not as good as this!

We saw on their website that they had low cost lunch specials and outdoor seating, so we decided to check it out. Their pot roast meal was amazing. Plentiful. Full of flavor vegetables as well as the beef roast, which was so tender the roast fell apart. It was moist and delicious. It was served with 2 small soft dinner rolls and butter. A side vegetable of corn &/or green beans completed the meal. The outside garden setting was COVID spacious. Their dates are reasonably priced and their date shakes are rich and yummy. You definitely get value for your money.
