“I was looking for a good taco place and I came across Covyd Tacos on Yelp and decided to try them. Unaware that they were just serving on tables under a shade during the evenings, I gave them a try and ordered asada and cabeza burritos. I became a regular after that night and they practically knew me by name. Their burritos are very delicious and their servings are generous. They also had quesadillas, and a variety of tacos. They also have Al Pastor which is really tasty. They do not accept credit cards but they accept Venmo payments. I now miss their tacos and burritos since I was only in La Puente for 5 weeks but would be their customer again if I go back to La Puente, California again.“

“First time visiting for a late lunch on the patio yesterday and we were surprised with Happy Hour @ 2PM every day. The chips and guac are great, and the $6 margaritas were delicious. The ceviche was bomb and the salsas were all so good! Staff were so kind and friendly too. Happy we tried it and can’t wait to go back.“

“(UPDATE REVIEW) I've been coming here for more than (I think) 2 years and they are the most kind and friendly people you can imagine. I order one or two bean and cheese burritos along with some red hot sauce. One time I hadn't even finished ordering and they placed the burrito with said hot sauce with napkins in a bag next to the register. I'm a regular customer so they know my order by heart lol! I saw one time they were teaching a seemingly new employee how to work everything and as I walked in I heard them preparing her like, "oh! and that kid always orders a bean and cheese burrito with FOUR red hot sauces, he usually gets a Pepsi with NO ice" it was so nice and funny to see. The bathroom was refurbished and looks significantly better. This the magnum opus of all things holy.“

“Great food and great price. Trust me, food is delicious. Very busy, which is a bit of a problem because they can't accommodate the people coming in at rush hours. Tables inside and out fill up. My wife and I get cheviche with good portions. Kids got tacos and burritos. The food was very good. Bathrooms are clean. Parking is usually full. Would get more stars really, which affects their service. No parking or place to eat makes us sometimes come back another time when there is enough space. They do have fast service.“

I have tried many other spots including street vendors around the IE, but let me tell you that nothing compares to the quality in the taste and consistency of these folks. I was bummed to find they cut ties with the original folks that ran the stand, but nonetheless the quality of the food remains the same! “Its is a food truck has a grade A this stuff is beyond amazing you literally will not regret it. They only take cash or zelle so be ready. I will be coming back soon. I recommend this to anyone looking to eat bomb food. I do warn they do fill up you up very good. I ordered 4 tacos with cheese and only ate 3. The pizza is big so be warned. Worth the prices.“
