the rice is the most amazing rice the guacamole is perfection. the taquito plate is my favorite.
I love Pepe's. I love the taquitos, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, rice, beans...everything. I'm sorry to see them leave. I hope they find a nearby spot to relocate to with a eat-in section and a drive thru for all their loyal customers. I know I would rather wait in a long line of cars for Pepe's food than for Canes or Chick-fil-a. Downey has enough drive thru chicken places but no decent drive thru Mexican food places.
I'm sad to see that this place is closing just to be replaced by a raising canes. Why take out a place with so much history in pico rivera just to be replaced by a restaurant that already has a location a few within a couple miles. You will be missed and good luck to all the employees of Pepe's I hope you find some work soon!
Pepe's Downey offers delicious Mexican cuisine in a convenient location. The restaurant is known for its tasty dishes, including beef taquitos with guacamole, carnitas burrito, and rice with green sauce. The staff is friendly, and the property is always clean. The portions are generous, and customers can even opt for half orders of certain items. The salsas are a highlight, and the restaurant also carries Orange Bang. With a drive-thru and patio seating, Pepe's Downey is a great option for those seeking a satisfying meal. Customers express their love for the taquitos, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, rice, and beans, and are saddened by the news of the restaurant's closure, hoping it will find a nearby spot to relocate to with both an eat-in section and a drive-thru for its loyal customers.
