If you are looking for real Mexican food this is not the place. I tried the $18 nachos, they had very little meat, a lot of chips and no sour cream. I was not sure what paid $18 for.

Perfect food after a long day of mountain biking. Perfect location. I recommend the carne asada street tacos.

We had a great time here! The food and service were great- try Sage's Quesadilla. Staff also gave us tons of local recommendations on what to do, where to hike, and where to fish.

We ended up here by accident since other places were closed, and so glad we did. Food was excellent and the service was fantastic. Great place!

Called and checked the pet policy before driving 125 miles. I was assured we could have our dog on the outside deck. We were met by a snarky employee, refusing us service with our dog.

This establishment and it's owner, clearly have an social agenda, posting signage, that is off-putting when one may just want to eat, without being shamed and without preachy exposure to virtue signaling.

Try the Cafe at the other end of Downieville.

This is an example of the preachy signage. 👇👇👇👇

If you are a tourist, and not a « local », you will be served 90-120 minutes later
.I mean at the end of the evening. Do not recommand.

Amazing food at a decent price! Nothing better than a beer and a killer burrito after riding bikes all day!

Took the motorcycle up to downeyville over the weekend and we're introduced to this place. All fresh grown organic and amazing! Super friendly and accommodating. Inside seating, or nice back patio or you can even eat out on the front walk. Also, The best tortilla chips that I've ever eaten I wish I knew where they were from! Super super fresh pico de gallo and really great guacamole as well. I had a steak quesadilla and it was amazing.

The menu boasted a “giant burrito” for almost $20, which I ordered with pork, plus a side of chips and salsa. In short, the burrito wasn’t “giant,” it was a normal size. They also didn’t put any meat on my burrito. It was stuffed with what tasted like canned beans and soggy, flavorless vegetables. The tortilla chips that came with the salsa were clearly from a convenient store.

If you’re in the area, bring your own food or go hungry — anything is better than this.

Omg the food was so good but the best to me was some of the best water I've had since I was a kid growing up in hawaii.

Excellent meal! All of our food tasted great and seemed freshly made, down to the side salad with super crisp greens and what tasted like home-grown tomatoes,. Service was friendly. Also enjoyed what was probably the best non-tequila margarita I've ever had. If we ever travel through Downieville again, I will definitely be back.
