we happened upon st. charles place during our recent visit to downieville, loved the friendly vibe at this historic bar. bartender sarah makes an absolutely divine lemon drop martini. loved it so much, we came back the next day. a highly recommended stop anytime you visit downieville♥️
Stopped in at St. Charles Place for a couple drinks while we enjoyed the day exploring Downieville. The old building was very cool. Lots of vintage decor still around. The place was clean and the bartender was friendly and attentive. I believe there are some tables out back on a riverside patio, but I didn't make it out there.

I like that I could use my phone and control the music that's pretty cool. Everybody here is very laid-back very cool. And I also like that I'm not judged because I do not drink, I'm given my soda water with lime with a smile Not sure what's going on with the lady in the window but I suppose there's a story behind it maybe one day I'll ask, I'm kind of scared to ask maybe I don't wanna know.
