Omggg the Sage’s quesadilla is next level and they have this homemade habanero hot sauce that should be in everyone’s home. It is soooo good. Everything is so fresh and made with attention. Some of the best food I’ve eaten in a while. Y’all have to visit this place!
Some of the best pico de gallo I’ve ever had. Super fresh and delicious produce.

La Cocina de Oro Taquería is a cute little spot in Downieville with delicious, well-prepared, unique food and many vegetarian options. The food is good, the people friendly, and the prices reasonable. The wonderful owner and all employees are most kind, friendly, and helpful. The location is beautiful, with a cozy deck right over the Downie River and a nice patio out back with river views. There is indoor and outdoor seating, ice cold beer and drinks, and a live band on Saturday nights. Try Sage's Quesadilla, the larger quesadilla with carne asada, or their twist on a margarita. Staff give great local recommendations on what to do, where to hike, and where to fish.
